No, I’m not saying it can’t be done—I *have* been able to save the car setup—but the problem is that every time you want to save, you have to enter a name manually; it doesn't let you pick one from a dropdown menu like before to overwrite an existing file. I hope that makes sense.

Indirect lighting in tunnels at night does not work in the mirrors. The walls and road are unlit

Why force older GPUs back to D3D11 renderer?
I've already sacrificed framerate – please don't make me sacrifice visual quality too:(. D3D12's visuals are genuinely gorgeous .Hotfix remove vehicle spawn limit but force my gtx970 back to 3d11 and my framerate hasn't improved at all either, actually my GTX 970 has been performing basically fine with D3D12.0.39.0 had already provided a D3D11 option for those GPU which have all sorts of issues with D3D12.

Not sure why you are quoting me, I was responding to something different.
Yes, not being able to select an existing custom build to overwrite it is annoying and tedious, I agree.
With the new UI update a LOT of things now also require navigating through more submenus, and with a lot of them I just cannot see the logic behind it
    --- Post updated ---
From the mods menu open the mods folder and go up two levels, they might be stored in a backup folder called
    (date and time)__v0.38.6.0__update_to_v0.39.0.0

Can you record videos of your graphics issues? The terrain texture and noisy image? We can't tell what you are referring to

I don't think subcategories and submodels work together in tandem reliably unfortunately

The "live updates" feature in the vehicle config tab now applies to both the "parts" and "tuning" tabs; in version 0.38, it only affected the "tuning" tab, while the "parts" tab had "live updates" permanently enabled. This change in behavior makes the game significantly more difficult for players who spend most of their time in the vehicle config tab. The implementation in version 0.38 was much better thought out—"live updates" was always on for the "parts" tab and only applied to the "tuning" tab. I would like the mechanics of this feature reverted to the old way, or for two separate buttons to be created for these categories, as the current state of the game is frustrating. A good example of this issue is adjusting the diameter and length of logs loaded onto a vehicle: the game has to refresh for every single log to apply the change, which effectively quadruples the time required compared to how it worked previously (when "live updates" was always active for the "parts" tab).
I have over 1,000 hours in your game, and I earnestly ask you to consider my feedback.

@Agent_Y I tried to post everything that will help. One video shows the noise, which is most prevalent in shadows (so overcast skies amplify this effect). Focus on the interior of the car- the dashboard, behind the steering wheel, and the door panel. Two videos showing a rather short LOD for foliage. If it's intentional, perhaps a toggle for those who can run it. I also included my graphics settings.
system: 5070TI/9850X3D 3440x1440p. I promise your game doesn't look as bad as it does in the screen grab, it's blown up, but the effect is conveyed in the videos.

So far enjoying the update and the Ardente is pretty cool.

I had to test it across three machines all on Linux. (Bazzite, Pop_os and Nobara) All of them take forever at 'processing vulkan shaders' while it hammers the CPU, background vulkan processing enabled. It Takes so long that you have to skip it. Likely as a result, if I press skip then chose Vulkan option the game then crashes with error 0x00000003. I can however get the Linux version to run but it stutters and lags terribly.

I've tried different proton runners, Vulkan is working correctly across all cards.

Specs across the three machines are:
    • Bazzite I5-10600k +RTX 3060 12gb 32gb DDR4,
    • Pop_os I7-8700 + RTX 2070 16gb DDR4,
    • Nobara i7-4790 + GTX1660 Super 16gb DDR3.

Otherwise though DX12 works on all (just with the known texture issues on larger maps)

As expected the third machine in the lineup now struggles a bit but that's fair.

On the side though whatever has been done to the tyres though I love it, so so much better than before although I didn't see any mention of it in the notes. Either way really happy with the effort and progress that has been put in.

Have a virtual pint on me Devs.

Oh wow your game looks weird, it's not supposed to look llike this, I hope it's just the screen recording misbehaving

We are working on next hotfix to give the choice back :)
It's a part of light optimization. Only lights visible on screen will appear in reflections :)

It's a little exaggerated because the image gets blown up, but it's real. To try to replicate it, use day time with heavy cloud coverage, and lighter colored interior surfaces makes it more easily noticeable

This is a perfectly sunny sky, car is off and I'm just moving the camera through the interior of the car. You can see it in all the shaded areas in the interior

It;s a known issue, some particular areas still get excessive grain from AO because of missing/to-be-improved features that will be worked on in future updates.

He was completely and utterly wrong. The hotfix got rid of that unnecessary issue completely, now I can actually spawn 1 car. Can also now spawn 7 traffic cars on west coast USA map at a decent framerate again without crashing like before the initial update. This stupid RAM craze has people perceptions completely screwed up if they think you need a RTX 6969 and an i9 42067 just to spawn a couple of cars.

So you mean this is what i'll be looking at for the foreseeable future? It wasn't anywhere near this bad pre .39...
    screenshot_2026-07-31_17-54-29.png

Maxed settings or not, it'll look like this, oddly selecting the "normal" setting for AO is the least bad

Only one rear light appears to work on the ardente, tested in safemode and almost all configs, still the same.
