I fully understand that it is a very difficult process to learn. ;)

Thanks! not much on the updates side, but I was able to add the B18C Type R engine (200hp) with a S80 5 speed wich throws the little Prelude to 60 mph under 7.5 seconds. Not the 3D model yet, but the performance data.

Working on the engine / suspension textures so I'll have something to update soon I hope.

Am I sensing this is going to lag badly if I cant even run the moonhawk with all of its parts? Most vehicle mods dont lag that bad but ones like the 49 caddy lag. I only have a crappy Amd A8 Im stuck with for awhile. Could you take into consideration there are more than just Intel rigs? Im sorry if this sounds rude at all but Im not trying to be. Its a great looking model, and great work.

Moonhawk has a detailed jbeam and you have a poor CPU. It's going to lag. Caddy jbeam is similar to moonhawk. This vehicle is a similar physical size to the covet and jbeam should have a similar density accordingly, therefore CPU load should be close to covet.

The Moonhawk and Cadillac both have much more complex jbeams than other vehicles in the game (for instance, the Moonhawk's chassis is a separate part, while on the Grand Marshal it is integrated). As a result, these vehicles have more to simulate, thus the frame rate goes down.

This Prelude should have very good performance, as it's jbeam is based on the Covet, which is one of the least GPU demanding jbeams.

It has, indeed, very good performance so far. There's only a bug I need to fix in that regard, and it's a small lag when crashing above 30 mph. Still don't know where the issue is but I'll fix that for the release.

Driv3r1142, get a better CPU. My mod will be as demanding as the official vehicles, so if you're having problems with them, you will with this and other mods.

Both your car and the 3D model you made of it look absolutely stunning.

I've been looking to get a 1st generation Prelude as my own car as well... But they're quite pricey, so I ended up getting a 2nd gen 1983 model instead.

If by any chance you want to make another Prelude After this one, I'd be happy to provide you imagery of mine, since it's completely Stock.

Your a trend-setter. So far I haven't seen any Game at all with a 1st or 2nd gen prelude in it.

Keep up the good work ;)

I have no $$$ right now... But I do plan on upgrading. BTW; Will an AMD 8 core give me any FPS increase at all? I don't want to spend money on intel if I don't have to. I know its single core that matters, but would the extra GHz of the CPU upgrade give me any boost? The upper end AMD 8 cores have speeds in the 4 GHz range out of the box, and a larger cache. My current AMD a8 APU is running at 3.46 GHz on a slight overclock.
**BTW My GPU is a MSI r9 270x 4GB OC edition, so its pretty much set for beamNG. Its jut my CPU**
Would I get any FPS increace? Im not after T75 60 FPS, but im after 30+ FPS with the moonhawk.

    And I have advice to make this car playable on more systems for whenever you release;
*Make the Jbeam like the covet. That car runs at a playable 60 FPS on my system, Therefor its a good car to use as a base.
*Make sure that you use as few JBeam files as possible. This is less for the CPU to process, as for more of it is contained.

Follow the covet JBeam and you will be fine... Make the car like the moonhawk, and you will disappoint.
Release an FPS version and a full version, You will offend but please most of the community.
Keep this in mind. You are not required to do this at all, but its a humble suggestion that wouldn't hurt you too much.

Do not buy an AMD, waste of money. Save up or shut up basically. It is not the authors responsibility to accommodate you or anyone else.

I've had absolutely no problem with AMD and I've been using them since the AMD XP 2000 and even I know that Intel out-classes AMD in physics calculations. I currently have an AMD FX-8350 and a Geforce GTX 970 and I still lag like crazy with the Moonhawk. I'm going to go for an Intel 4790k before the end of the year. I hope the improvement is drastic. Hey cbrider, what rig are you running?

I didnt intend to start an AMD VS intel argument. Right now Im trying to figure out whats better for my budget...So lets stop this. I made a thread already in the right forum. And there is a difference between accommodating and suggesting. I was suggesting something to him, its up to him to decide if he does it or not.
And besides, if he releases this without an FPS version, I may be able to make it work on my system anyway. I have greatly reduced car lag by removing the exhaust pipe and bumpers on certain cars. Same with the AMD killer T75. I can get the T75 from single digit FPS to 15-20 FPS just by removing the exhaust pipes and the sidesteps. And the FPS parts mod helps too.

Back on topic. I would love to try this out, I hope its released soon.

Thanks! I'm aware that there isn't a single game featuring a 1st gen Prelude, not even the Gran Turismo series, they all have 4th or 5th gen only. That's why I'm putting a lot of work into this one, besides, it won't be BeamNG exclusive, I'll get it into other games as well.
Not sure what car to do next, as right now this is keeping me quite busy and I still haven't started with the performance parts. Except the 4th gen, I like all Preludes, so might be interested in the future.

Progress is slow, already finished all UV's so I'm working on the base textures for all parts. Then I'll have to add detail to each texture and the specular and normal maps at last.

There are some jbeam issues still to fix, not huge problems but still, needs to be done.

This is a great looking car... Will probably make my system cry if you followed the sunburst for the Jbeam, but otherwise, good work.
Although once again, I do suggest making an FPS version. You dont have to, but Im sure it would open the car up to those who play BeamNG with less than A+ specs.

Pay up or shut up. Upgrade if you are going to complain. If your computer can't deal with official vehicles, then you can't expect modders to accommodate for your computer. Recommended requirements are "recommended" for a reason.

This looks absolutely stunning and just completely blew my mind. My girlfriend has an old Prelude (so I've shown her basic maintenance) and I must say this looks exactly like the car and the engine/engine bay is spot on.

On other brainwaves, I looked at the links in your signature, and the "ArchCars" website was amazing, if I could mod I would pay the $55 for the FJ Cruiser model and make that into a driveable BeamNG car. :)

Doesn't mean it still isn't annoying after the 75th post. I'm pretty sure that over 50% of his posts are him suggesting to others what they should do with they're own creation for his benefit.

"My computer can't handle it, so you have to make an FPS version!"

Back on topic, though. Latest pictures look amazing. Still have me wondering with the next car will be. First a nova and then a prelude. Seriously, what's planned next?

Well, Look. If you think I post all about how a PC sucks, and you obviously cant read the "Its a suggestion" piece, then that's just fine. Be that way.

And quit acting like some person who is so proud of his/her state of the art, high end PC. I don't care if you do or don't have the high end, but you sure act like it.
So lets stop this argument. If the author wants to add an FPS version, he can. If he doesn't, I don't care. Its his choice.
