Yeah, that’s a Euro truck alright. Very MAN TGS-esque rear fenders. A bit strange that they took the teaser on West Coast though, I would have thought it’d be on Italy or something.

I don't think it's entirely impossible for there to be a US-market version of the new Euro semi:

-Both Volvo and Daimler have had a large US presence for a while (Daimler operates through other brands, like Freightliner, Detroit Diesel, and Western Star)
-We used to make plenty of cabover semis in the US - the last one (the Freightliner Argosy) stopped being produced in 2006
-The Isuzu Elf (sold in the US as the N-Series and other names like the GMC Forward) has been sold in the US since the mid-1980s, and produced there since the mid-'90s.
-For a few years in the '80s, there was a cabover truck sold in the US called the Peterbilt Midranger - a Brazilian-built unit that used the Volkswagen LT cab.


There are probably more examples, but these were just the ones I could come up with at the moment. So, it would be a stretch, but probably not the biggest stretch we've had. The SBR4's probably as big of a stretch as a US-market Euro semi (if not bigger).

Just saw the teaser. The rear fenders of the euro truck looking similar to the Man TGS can basically confirm that it’s probably gonna be an ETK or a new brand!

 

Also note the teaser date, June 20th. This means the Euro truck concept is nothing brand new, but still recent.

Okay, based on my speculations, we'll have an improvement to the speed radar that will show more of the record and fines, and we also have a truck that will probably be based on MAN, or any semi-modern truck.

Hey guys, I might end up creating controversy and confusion by accident lol
But, I saw people saying that maybe the new truck in the teaser could be a Scania, if it is, I speculate that maybe the devs could add this mod to the official game just like they did with the MD Series.

 

they added the MD? i didnt know it was a mod
im just so hyped for 0.40 i thought they do a long break but they are cooking so fast

 

It wasnt a mod, just a similar vehicle made by a to-be dev years prior.

Also does the GMs license plate mean anything?

 

There was a mod called "Gavril Durham" that was released in 2022, and in 2024 in patch 0.33 the devs released the MD Series which is identical to Durham himself. In short, they officially added Durham to the game but with a different name and other things

 

It’ll probably be based off this mod because the guy who made the euro truck mod nearly a decade ago was actually synsol, who’s on the BeamNG dev team (Jalkku made the original mod, which was more American derived with Euro looks. Synsol just made the truck more European.)!

But from the looks of it, I believe the rear of the euro truck will have Man TGS inspiration, with Scania inspiration in the front of the euro truck!
