Definitely. The rear is absolutely Man TGS-esque, but I could see if you threw an ETK or Jargl badge onto that truck, it would look pretty official.

Don’t forget Gamergull’s traffic mod, which inspired the BeamNG tram adding traffic in 2019 (Same year Gamergull’s mod released!) and getting Gamergull hired by the dev team as a result of this !

It’s also worth mentioning that the guy behind the MAN TGS mod is actually part of the BeamNG dev team too!

Oh yes, I've been asking for this ever since the last time they updated the T-series. But honestly, I strongly feel that this update will come a little earlier than 3 months after 0.39 — I'm thinking sometime in September, either as 0.40 or as an addition to 0.39 in the form of 0.39.x. And also, that car they've been developing from scratch for 2 years — it's not the Ardente, it's most likely going to be this truck instead.

 

Here, I made a little crude mockup of what that may look like (rather see PNGS than ai here). Honestly, looks pretty awesome! Not opposed to it!

 

It's not too far fetched to believe it could be an ETK, but the devs could also take this opportunity to create a new brand entirely or just make it a European Gavril (referring to how FORD has the F-MAX in the European market). Only time will tell and seeing the recent news from tdev it's gonna be a wait and I personally can't wait to be driving a semi down a longer highway while ramming a bunch of cars!

 

I honestly have my doubts about Euro Gavril. I don't see why a EUROPEAN truck, the first one officially in the game at that, would be granted to an American brand. It just doesn't really make sense to me. I'm sticking to my guess of ETK, but i'm not opposed to a new brand either. I don't think it will be a Cherrier.

 

Yeah I know it's far fetched to be a Gavril I was just throwing it out there since the cars in the game are pretty much different vehicles mashed together

 

The GMC T7500 (closer to the MD-series in that it's a class 7, iirc) could theoretically be a good example of this. And you could get them with GVWRs of up to 80,000 lbs. They were sold in Europe as the Isuzu F-series. Those were in america, too. I used to work with these trucks. So it's not inconcievable that it could be imported as a USDM model, but it likely wouldn't be as a semi truck - rather as specialized equipment (tankers, and more niche industrial uses)

 

Peterbilt also sells rebadged DAF trucks in the US.

 

And on top of that, the Isuzu elf is still sold here in the US as well under three brands. You used to be able to get it as a GMC in the late 2000s as well.

AFAIK the name Jargl came from the infamous concept vehicles list before it was picked up by modders. I was just saying that Jargl as a name had been documented, even if it wasn't meant to be made public. And the DT825 becoming the DT40L, and changing from a Swedish to an American manufacturer just seems like the most likely scenario, considering there were no European maps at the time.

 

There's also a chance the truck could be a Cherrier too, just thought I'd throw that out there
