No sound - major problem

    After the last update, I have no sounds on collisions. How to fix it? I tried reinstalling the game, deleting settings from My documents etc. . Nothing helped.
    I also wonder why that update was implemented into stable version. It's not any stable!

    Nobody knows what causes this issue? Even devs? I think developers should know the technical side of their game very well... This bug spoils whole game for me, so please at least try to help me.
    I hoped that the last update would fix it, but no, it didn't.

    What about this file? Has someone inspected it? I must deal with "no one gives a damn" problem once again...

    i checked it, but was very busy and forgot to reply.

    this is your bug, it uses the removed soundsystem. I would suggest you delete the game from steam, the steam folder and the folder in "My Documents" and reinstall. That should fix the device creation from OpenAL back to DirectSound.

    Okay, I removed both folders - from Documents and from Steam. Then I downloaded game, but problem still persists.
    I'd also like to say that this issue came with the patch that brought in new UI.
    Maybe there are some files from older version that could replace my bugged files?

    In previous versions, the openal.dll was existing, in most recent versions it should be gone. That should fix the problem :(

    Maybe this bug occurs because I have an integrated sound card?

    And one question: when will you change sounds to something less temporary?
