k, well then it seems that the changes that the devs did to the sound system broke something in a way that no one knows how to fix.
The loudness (gain) of the engine and exhaust sounds are basically on the lowest level they can go (on -18, max is -20 and a difference of 2 does not change much, especially if it still sounds the same)

 

RLA's mod is a 200bx meshslap with horrible suspension geometry and a horrific 3d model. Saying its unoptimized because "people have junk pcs" just isn't correct. Its unoptimized because of the 3d model used. Here are a few pics of it in blender, exported using the in-built GLTF exporter because RLA encrypts his DAE files for some reason.

Lowkey tho, this mod (not the reskin 200bx) IS a pretty decent jumping off point, no? Did the OG mod creator never give the blessing for someone else to pick it up? Cause while I might not have the most technical beam modding/LUA knowledge; I think I'm a pretty good tuner and config maker. If someone with some more of the technical aspect wants to help, I think we could make a pretty dang good modernization of the mod...

 

Runs fine on my pc lol that's literally how this mod started its just lower poly , boutique mods are a thing those mods aren't for laptop kids or outdated computers trying to run beam

It’s not a “boutique mod” it’s a very low quality meshslap that costs $15 a month.

I think remaking it from scratch would be best, trying to modernize an outdated mod like this will pretty much result in it being completely redone anyway.

we could only hope tbf. Finding people to work on mods for free/to continue existing ones now adays is rare lolll

 

Someone with the right skills, wich is not me because i'm dumb as a rock, should understand that this mod absolutely need to be remade properly, they should understand that they must pour hours of their lives into this so people like me could comment and say "peak"

the only thing that annoys me is that the exhaust would sometimes stick to the ground if i hit the ground too hard
