I checked on the mod, nothing is broken from last update, and nothing new to add either since the Ardente just shares all powertrain parts with the Vivace so no new swaps available. First time in years no bugs to fix lol. Even that Moonhawk config that used to not spawn now works again somehow. If someone finds something very broken in the mod please report here and I can make an update then

Bro this mod is literally the best thing on the repo, great job ☺. My only little bone to pick is with the CVT's. Can you please allow more tuning of them such as rpm, responsiveness, stiffness etc. ? Still absolutely awesome mod overall tho, and great job on 0.39 btw, ik you guys are getting grilled on reddit but there are those who love it too except the HUD app editor .

Basic question: when it comes to scaling weight, if I move the slider to "2", does that DOUBLE the weight of the vehicle, or does it increase it by some other ratio? I note I can't set it to 1.5 etc.

It does double it, but it also multiplies with the other slider - so if you want 1.5x you need to move the larger slider to 2 and the small value slider to 0.75 as 2 x 0.75 = 1.5

I've attempted to implement this, but the change seems to either crash the game, or put my truck underwater. I've attached a screenshot of my settings in Tuning. Have I understood you correctly?

When scaling the weight, you should also try and scale stiffness & damping by approx. the same amount or maybe 1% lower than weight. You did scale the weight correctly for a multiplication by 1.2 though.
