Ah man, just imagine the side pipes with the V8 and in the GT-IV variant!

 

what are they teasing at this point? Im not complaining but we already knew that the PS5 version is coming. It's just strange to me.

 

Imagine an official lore-friendly Aston Martin with an V12 and bond-inspired config. It could use the spike strip deployer and launch them out of the trunk. It would give us a British brand too.


ALSO, completely unrelated, but I’ve got a theory. Hear me out here. From the design cues we’ve seen, the cab of the new EU truck is starting to look more like an Iveco to me (with MAN inspiration in the rear). According to Google, Iveco is Italian (coming after a merger with German and French brands). We also recently got the quarry in Italy recently too. I’m still sticking with my guns for a Swedish brand, but I do think Autobello is looking more like a possiblity now too.

It would be really cool. It's possible to imagine lots of possibilities with a V12 engine in the game, such as a grand tourer from the 90s, a luxury sedan from the 2000s, a mid-engined sport car from the 80s or even a race prototype from the 70s, among other kinds of vehicles.

 

W140/Toyota Century

 

Yes! It would be amazing! And we can think about some crazy things related to these cars. The V12 engine used in the W140 S-Class was also used in the Pagani Zonda (in a high output version, of course), and Top Secret put the V12 used in the Toyota Century in an A80 Supra. Can we imagine a crazy tuner that exists in the BeamNG.drive universe putting a V12 in an Ibishu BX, or even an Italian sportscar company founded by a South American guy using an ETK V12 engine in their cars?

There are V12 sounds in the game. They're just not used anywhere.
Same for the V16 sounds.

There's a mod that adds a V12 to the ETK using these "hidden" vanilla sounds. I've also V16 swapped a BX before. Fun

Why stop at just the v12, would be pretty neat to have another 30's car with a v16 like the cadillac v-16 or the Marmon sixteen. Or if you want a non american example there is the Maserati Tipo V4. On the other hand you could go the diesel route and create a V12 and V16 diesel, albeit the latter would be for VERY specialized useage. Also a bit surprised there is no V6 diesel for the MD or D/H-series, or an inline 4/6 for the latter vehicles. probably no assets for them, yet.

there are plenty v12 engines to be found for beamng.

the MB v12 is featured in several mods, it's relatively easy to throw those engines in the etk

 

Actually, the very first Zonda variant, the C12 of 1999, used the M120 just like it came out, with its standard 6-liter displacement and 400hp/580Nm-428lb-ft output - the bored and stroked 7.0 and 7.3 variants of the C12S came later!

I'd love to see V12s in BeamNG. I can already imagine a modern ETK F-Segment Luxury Sedan with two 3.0 I6s joined together and an extra 50% to the displacement, the cylinder count and, just for giggles, the torque figure of the 604hp version of the 4.4 Twin-Turbo V8 added to the end result. So a 6.6 Twin-Turbo V12 with 1062Nm/783lb-ft of torque (708Nm/522lb-ft for the 4.4 Twin-Turbo V8 ÷ 2 = 354Nm/261lb-ft, 354Nm/261lb-ft × 3 = 1062Nm/783lb-ft)!

I'd also love a small, high-revving 60s V12 with sextuple carburetors and the characteristic velocity stacks/ITBs for a Civetta model!

And an F1-derived 90s V12 in a 90s lightweight carbon fiber tub Supercar would be nice too!

 

It does badly need that PS5 XeSS/FSR equivalent shown in the teaser. I can see the aliasing pretty clearly.

 

I'm really hoping the new truck is from a new brand, preferably Swedish since that's one of the last major european auto industries not represented by at least one brand (the others would be the UK and Russia/Eastern bloc but it doesn't seem like either of those). But it could very well also be:
Italian (Autobello or new brand), or

French (Cherrier).



I personally don't fell confident in it being German, the styling doesn't seem to match ETK nor real world brands tat might be used as inspiration for a lore friendly new german brand. what we can see just doesn't jive with that in my head but who knows, I could be wrong. I'm completely aware it doesn't really look like any real life Swedish truck either (I'm not as familiar with european trucks though so I might have missed something), but when the heavy equipment came I originally thought they were gonna be Swedish for the same reason, no Swedish brand yet. Speaking of the heavy equipment, I could see the devs throwing a curve ball and making it Japanese and Hirochi branded, I found this picture of a truck called Izuzu Giga that looks vaguely similar


While technically anything's possible, I find this much less likely than a new brand. Plus if it's Japanese I wouldn't completely discount Ibishu either, but I'm gonna say the truck has about 95% chance of being European and only like 5% Japanese

 

I highly doubt it’s gonna be Japanese. From what we’ve seen so far, all signs are pointing towards an EU semi. I think there’s a possibility that it may be a mixture of a whole bunch of different countries trucks, and we can’t really narrow it down at the moment. I’m hoping for a Swedish brand though.

 

Are we forgetting the teaser with all the chassis variants lined up in the shape of a crown (very clear reference to Scania)? I’m almost certain it’s a new, Swedish brand. If not, it’s 100 percent a European brand of some kind.
