yeah that's looks pretty nice. when it's all together i think it will give a better idea, so we'll see. edit: oh and perhaps make the sidelight there on the prefaclift on the top a bit more rounded, like the real one. with the outer bit sort of kicking up a bit in a curve
i mean, if you know a bit on how BeamNG lights work you could just cheap out greatly and make the high beams run at a low voltage, since thats how some cars do DRL's. could make realistic sense in a "2 birds 1 stone" way. but if having a light serve multiple purposes is too hard, this could work
dacia just used an LED strip, like in the mk3+ duster or sandero, or a separate bulb holder reflector part thing for the halogen DRL, like in the mk2 sandero or duster. and it doesn't fit with the facelift design they chose. if we want to be realistic, an LED or an halogen bulb (the sidelight from the prefacelift becomes a DRL for perhaps a basemodel and/or a production series of leftovers sold at the same time as the facelift. eg renault clio storia or fiat punto classic) are cheap enough that with the cost cuts taken the maker can afford the 5 or so euros to make an independent DRL. we have to remember that this is a dacia, not early 2000s hyundai. the biggest cut costs dacia does are like no headunit but you still have the radio controls behind the wheel. you still have AC, electric windows and so on. dacia is cheap and cheerful, not cheap and miserable. so let's not think of cost cuts just for the fun of it and think more of cost cuts and liberties that make sense. you can look at the mk1 and mk1 duster. the mk1 is more bare bones but doesn't make you regret your life choices like a 2001 Hyundai atos
Yesterday I was bored, so I made this lol Somehow I managed to do in two afternoons what took me like 3-4 months to learn through the UrbanX and Falken.Didn't even plan this one, I just wanted to fuck around for a bit and ended up getting it this far. Okay will do, but to clarify, it is the culminance of all my skills that I have gathered throughout my other 2 car mods. Th Cherrier UrbanX is basically the testbed and the "school" for all the jbeam/flexbodies/etc related stuff, which made possible the next 2 mods. The Ferdinand Falken mod is the testbed for material related stuff, and now thanks to it car paint looks like car paint. And all the knowledge has been put into the upcoming mod. And that has made possible that in a total of 6-8 hours divided into 2 vacation afternoons I made something that used to take me 2 months. All 3 mods are still heavy WIP, and each one has better quality, you csnt really compare the UrbanX model and materials with the upcoming mod (even though they are free models from sketchfab I have obviously modified them) --- Post updated --- Will make the thread tmrrw, but I also don't really want to deal with burnouts so idk which to prioritize or to just cancel any, but that's not really the plan.
I mean as I have said this is completely apart and the UrbanX is the main one. The Falken is secondary and used mainly as a materials testbed. The New mod packs all my knowledge into another car, including knowledge acquired from the UrbanX too.
