I agree on all points, especially the Lego comparison. However, the Stambecco is not the only official military vehicle we have: there's also the D-Series CUCV

I disagree with this conclusion, mostly because while unique vehicles are awesome, they're unique for a reason. I'm that strange person who loves THE car. I frickin' adore THE car, at least for each given era or place, which is part of the reason I love this game. Almost all of the game's vehicle selection hews closer to the commonplace rather than the exceptional. And I'd never have it any other way.

And as a citizen of a post-anti-soviet country who is absolutely blinded by nostalgia (and damn proud of that), I am overjoyed at the volume of classic Americana, but wish to see a dash of state-sponsored yin to match our star-spangled yang

 

I totally agree with Occam's here on the subject on oddball cars, I am patiently waiting for a car like the corvair or even ZAZ-965(lore accurate of course) for a rear engined car bigger than a shopping cart, furthermore I am Doubly waiting for a corvette styled car cause Chivetta can't possibly be the only one with high performance light weight sportscars. That and a british roadster like an MG Midget or an Austin-Healey sprite.

 

965 is really similar to Piccolina (because both are based on fiat 600) and 966\968 based on corvair

 

I’m not that young, matter of fact I’m probably older than most other people here. What’s “scary” about the state of the world right now is that one person merely said “the truck looks like it could possibly be Russian” and people that are probably younger than me defaulted to talking about machines of war. I’m well aware that war has existed since pretty much the beginning of the human species itself, but it’s only in recent times that we’re seeing teens and early 20s casually talking about nuclear warfare and world political issues in a forum about a car game.

Not long ago I came across a thread of someone making a Shahed drone (yes, the ones Russia is using to attack Ukraine and Iran is using to attacking the rest of the middle east). I said that it was in poor taste considering the state of the world, but this just goes to show where so many peoples’ minds are nowadays and that is very concerning. It might not affect me or you personally but still shouldn’t be downplayed.

but with that being said, I think this topic should be put to rest, not trying to argue, just venting. Matter of fact I think it’s for the best if no one else references this topic again, anywhere on these forums.

 

this makes me wonder - and i'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet actually, what if this new truck is a charmand?

 

Interesting thought but I’m not sure they’ll add a second French brand when there’s other countries (like Sweden or Germany ) that have much more prominence in the truck manufacturing industry

 

I think more Germany, because the rear fender seen in the second teaser looks very similar to that of a MAN truck from the 2000s.

 

I wonder if this will get a pre-facelift version

 

Don't forget a German Roadster from that era, like the Porsche 550 or the 718. The Argento Metallizzato color of the Autobello brand, as well as the 1.5 Flat-4 and 5-Speed Manual combo of the Piccolina 150 Corse but mounted amidships, would be great for such a car!
Generally, the 1.5 Flat-4 engine of the Piccolina has a great performance potential for serious track racing use too and Autobello could further enhance its simple and tough image!

That grille certainly looks like it could be ETK, and the badge looks like the side of an ETK badge. I’m still hoping it could be a new brand though.
