Update Speculation thread

Curious what the engine will be, or maybe we'll get an ev version, or even hydrogen. That could be awesome.

 

I think people have figured out that the teasers often drop from 10-11 AM EST, so even if there's no announcement, people are expecting a teaser.

 

I would assume an I6 and maybe a V8 but hydrogen or ev would be cool

 

I don't really see a hint of ETK in that grille…. Seems pretty generic to me

 

I tried adjusting the colors and contrast slightly to try to find a hidden message, but I didnt find anything (same in the past teasers)

No luck. The previous one was too cropped and this ones too extreme of an angle for the badge. HOWEVER
WE WERE SPOT ON ABOUT A EUROPEAN SCANIA LIKE TRUCK!

 

As much as I want this new truck to be Swedish, how can you tell from this picture that it is Scania-like?

Judging by everything, it seems to me that FPU is a commercial vehicle plant.

 

i highly doubt that would happen, since tdev said both are a while away and that they would hopefully return to the normal 2-4 month update schedule after the ps5 port release. also i feel like its too soon to be this month since if 0.40 did come out this month that would mean its 1 month after 0.39 (or barely 2 if it came out on sep 29-30)

 

Based on the length of the badge compared to the image we got earlier, I want to say that this might be called the "Archeron". I doubt this image will give us more info about the badge though, it's incredibly low-res. We also still can't see the brand badging, because it's 2-D, but I still think it's a Cherrier.

 

I don't think it will be a Cherrier since we got the Ardente before...
I somehow think it will be a completly new brand

I’m still doubting Cherrier. The last time we had back-to-back releases from the same brand was ~10 years ago. I doubt that’s going to be the case again. My bets on a new brand (hopefully Swedish), or ETK

 

This is likely some Jargl branded truck, Jargl was a brand that was supposed to be in BeamNG in early 2015's, but it never came to see the light. It's likely a volvo or some swedish truck

I'd say it's a late-90s-to-mid-00s truck. It certainly looks old enough.
