AI Slop Mods

Unfortunately most AI is NOT in the right hands, there’s a reason after all that the experts are saying it’ll take over the internet within a year and more than 10% chance it could wipe out humanity in a decade

 

I don’t believe the last stat, how the fuck is ai supposed to kill me? (Besides drones, because they are one time use)

The implications of future AI aside, the AI we already have is bad at what it’s supposed to be good at and even more horrible at the things it’s not good at. It’s capable of so much, but the reason it’s disliked and also why I dislike it is just how misused it is, and this thread was made to serve as a perfect example. AI is supposed to ASSIST, not take over the entire process.

You seem awfully insecure, please stop projecting. I'm just wondering how your post is relevant to the thread, as how you'd "shoot not just the clankers" doesn't really correlate to what the topic is.

I made this thread to focus on the modding problem, I don't think fear mongering on a bigger scale will get us anywhere. But i do find it interesting, maybe another thread could be made if people are up for it.

Would suggest "boycotting" AI mods by simply leaving bad reviews, but then again we'd have to filter out the "slop" ones and the ones actually put an ounce of effort into. It sounds extreme to say, but the more accessible AI is the more creativity is dying. Even more so in modding context, all of them share pretty much the same "base" iirc

alright so, starting off:
i do not like fully AI made mods. they don't work and i genuinely want to twist my head 180* whenever i see these god awful thumbnails and descriptions
also, they're effortless and useless
second, why the fuck is izukuro again trying to do? this mf genuinely loves to ragebait
and finally, i seriously doubt AI is going to be able to destroy humanity, because humanity will autodestruct before it gets the chance to do so

Are they preventing you from uploading it due to the current state of it? Last time I checked your thread you were still having texture issues with the headlights. Have you worked on that yet? (Not criticising you I just genuinely don’t know XD)

but yeah, it sucks that all this AI slop is approved to the repo while some others are not. Trust me, I’ve seen my fair share of low effort HUMAN slop on the repo, but AI is just bottom of barrel garbage. It sucks because half the time it doesn’t even function, and sometimes breaks vanilla functions.

 

i haven't worked on it because 1. i'm too lazy, 2. the hard drive with beamng got corrupted and 3. i don't know no shit about how to fix it

They're saying it can (and has) already hacked servers and learned how to reprogram itself. I'm not religious but I truly hope to god that we don't actually get to that point. As we can see the internet takeover has already begun, the slop flood is here. I cross my fingers that the AI falls flat on its face before "evolving" further. I miss when AI was only something of sci fi movies, but as far as the forums go, they definitely need to crack down. Only mods that might be AI assisted but have been tested and refined by a human, not unedited AI coding
