Hi, everyone! Over the last month, I've been working really hard to bring you the next beta version of my mod!
    cep_2026-09-19_1.png cep_2026-09-19_2.png
Features added since the beta version released on 23 August 2026:
    • Austria (1947-1990):
      • recommended sizes: 38x11 cm (front), 46x14 cm (rear 1-row), 25x24 cm (rear 2-row)
      • available variants: standard (black background, white font), trailer (with red border), dealer/test (blue), export (green), temporary (blue with red strip at right side)
      • for temporary plates, it's possible to set the date by using the "|v=89" switch, where "89" - last 2 digits of year
      • number format: "W 123.456" (from 2 to 6 digits are allowed). Space is used after state code. The code "St" (Steiermark) is now accepted also with a space after it. "O" (Oberösterreich) can now have a space instead of a dash. Dot is used as a thousands separator for plates with 4 or more digits.
      • when number has 4 or less digits (e.g. "S 9.876"), the license plate background becomes shorter, with dark grey space at left and right side. It's possible to make it transparent by setting "License plate opacity map" to "Enabled (for 4 or less digits)"
    • Austria (1990-now):
      • added new plate designs: police (both 1990 and 2002 version), export (1990, 1992, 2000 and 2024 versions), dealer (1990 and 2024 versions), temporary (1990, 2024 and 2025 versions) and foreign trailer plates (1990 and 2021 versions). For 2-row dealer/export/temporary plates, use 27x20 cm instead of 30x20 cm
      • it's possible to set the validity year for export/temporary plates using the "|v=12" switch (where "12" are the last 2 digits of year: for export plates it will be the earliest year displayed on a sticker)
    • Croatia:
      • recommended size for double-row plates is 28x20 cm
      • includes all plates that were a part of version 1.4 of Central Europe Plates, that is: standard plates, police plates, plates for oversized vehicles and foreign-owned vehicles (all with 1992, 2007 and 2016 versions), diplomatic and military plates (1992 and 2007 versions), export plates (2008 and 2016 versions) and non-embossed temporary and test plates
      • standard plate format is "ZG:1234-AB": 2-letter regional code, colon ":" used for the Croatian coat of arms, 3-4 digits, a hyphen and 1-2 letters. Personalized plates are also supported
    • Czechoslovakia:
      • added 1953-1986 Czechoslovak plates: standard (white background), commercial (yellow background), foreigner (blue background with yellow text), rental (red lettering). This set of designs now applies also to 1986-1994 plates and, except of rental plates, also for 1994-2001 Czech plates
      • for 1953-1986 plates, following sizes are recommended: 49x10 cm (1-row), 32x20 cm (2-row). For the latter, it's possible to enable the opacity map in vehicle configuration to achieve the actual shape with cut corners
    • Czechia:
      • added new plate designs: export (both 1994 and 2001 version), dealer (1994, 2001 and 2004 versions), diplomatic (2001 and 2004 version) and sports car plates
      • it's possible to set which years will be displayed on the date part of export plates by using a switch: "|v=12", where "12" - first year displayed in top left field
    • Germany (1994-now):
      • added dealer plates (red font) and plates for tax-exempt vehicles (green font), as well as dedicated designs for police plates (because they do not have a technical inspection sticker on the rear plate and use special characters for dashes)
    • Hungary (1990-2022):
      • recommended size for rear double-row plates is 28x20 cm, reduced size 24x13 cm can also be used
      • includes all plate designs that were a part of version 1.4 of Central Europe Plates, that is: standard plates and taxi/commercial plates (both 1990 and 2004 styles), electric, vintage, diplomatic (all versions, both post-2017 with letters CD and pre-2017 with letters DT/CK), as well as 1990-2022 temporary plates which have been merged into one design (previously, pre-2001 plates with letter E were a separate design)
      • the standard number format is "ABC-123", with a dash between letters and digits
      • it's now possible to customize the stickers on rear plates using switches (a new feature in this version):
      • "|t=17" - to enable the top sticker and set the year of next technical inspection (allowed values: 01-17)
      • "|e=4" - to enable the bottom sticker for emission control and set its color: 1 - black, 2 - red, 3 - blue, 4 - green or for pre-2010 stickers: 5 - red, 6 - yellow, 7 - blue, 8 - green
      • pre-2004 personalized plates can now use the older version of digits by using the switch "|o"
      • it's possible to set the validity date on temporary plates by using a switch "|v=12" where "12" - last 2 digits of year, or for pre-2000 E plates, "|v=198" where "1" - quarter of year (from 1 to 4) and "98" - last 2 digits of year
    • Hungary (2022-now):
      • includes following plates: standard (including support for personalized plates), electric, taxi, vintage, diplomatic, temporary and sports car plates
      • default number format: "AA:BC-123", where ":" is the Hungarian coat of arms
      • use the switch "|v=23", where "23" are the last 2 digits of the year to set the validity year on temporary plates. In comparison with previous version, green background for year 2026 has been added
    • Poland (1976-2000):
      • added diplomatic (blue background), foreigner (green background), temporary (yellow font) and test (red background) plates
    • Poland (2000-now):
      • added following plates to match the plates present in the 1.4 release: vintage plates (2000 style), diplomatic plates, temporary and test plates (both 2000 and 2006 style), sports car plates and professional plates, police plates now have a separate number generator
      • to set the validity year on temporary and sports car plates, use a switch "|v=12", where "12" - last 2 digits of year, the sticker has different patterns for years: 2000-2001, 2002-2007 and 2008-now.
    • Romania (1992-now):
      • recommended size for double-row plates: 34x20 cm (rear plate only) or 24x15 cm (reduced size)
      • includes all plates from previous full release: standard, diplomatic, short-term temporary, long-term temporary and test plates (all both in 1992 and 2007 version), as well as plates for electric vehicles, military plates and local administration plates (for 3 cities: Bucuresti, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara)
      • default number format is "B 123 CDE" or "BV 12 XYZ", using spaces to separate character groups
      • reworked system of switches (multiple allowed at once):
        • "|f=0123", "|f=23", "|r=0123", "|r=23", "|fr=0123", "|fr=23", where "01" - month, "23" - two digits of year, used to set a date on technical inspection stickers and on which plates they appear: "f" - front only, "r" - rear only, "fr" - both plates
        • "|v=0123", "|v=123", where "01" or "1" is the month (both 1 and 2 digit month numbers are allowed) and "23" is the year, used to change the validity date on long-term temporary plates
        • "|N" - don't use dedicated space for stickers, allows for bigger flexibility in character positioning with thin spaces using "/" character
        • "|B" - barcode used on plates since 2025
        • "|L" - embossed lines at the sticker position, used until 1996
        • "|O" - use alternative fonts: old font on EU plates (2007-2008) or new font on flag plates
        • "|D" - use a dash at sticker position, mainly used for military plates with Romanian/EU flag
    • Slovenia:
      • recommended size: 52x12 cm for 1-row plates and 34x22 cm for 2-row plates
      • added all plates from version 1.4: standard, police, export (1992, 2004 and 2008 version), trailer plates and temporary plates (both 1992 and 2004 version), as well as oversized vehicle plates, test plates, vintage plates, foreign resident/diplomatic plates (all five variants: 1992, 1996, 2001, 2004, 2008) and military plates (both white and black background). Standard 2004 and 2008 plates are available with regular and narrow font (the latter used mostly on personalized plates).
      • it's possible to set the date displayed on temporary plates by using a switch "|v=01", where "01" - last 2 digits of year, as well as on export plates using "|v=1122", where "11" - month, "22" - year
      • there's a possibility to set the custom coat of arms by using a switch "|c=XYZ", where "XYZ" is the 3-letter code of an administrative unit: LJU - Ljubljana, LJ1 - Ljubljana, old coat of arms, CEL - Celje, KOP - Koper, KRA - Kranj, KRS - Krsko, MAR - Maribor, MSO - Murska Sobota, NGO - Nova Gorica, NME - Novo mesto, POS - Postojna, SGR - Slovenj Gradec, AJD - Ajdovscina, BRE - Brezice, CER - Cerknica, CRN - Crnomelj, DOM - Domzale, DRA - Dravograd, GRA - Gornja Radgona, GRO - Grosuplje, HRA - Hrastnik, IDR - Idrija, IBI - Ilirska Bistrica, IZO - Izola, JES - Jesenice, KAM - Kamnik, KOC - Kocevje, LAS - Lasko, LNR - Lenart, LEN - Lendava, LIT - Litija, LJT - Ljutomer, LOG - Logatec, LO1 - Logatec, old coat of arms, MET - Metlika, MOZ - Mozirje, ORM - Ormoz, PES - Pesnica, PIR - Piran, PTU - Ptuj, ROD - Radlje ob Dravi, RAD - Radovljica, RNK - Ravne na Koroskem, RIB - Ribnica, RUS - Ruse, SPC - Sentjur pri Celju, SEV - Sevnica, SEZ - Sezana, SLO - Skofja Loka, SBI - Slovenska Bistrica, SKO - Slovenske Konjice, SPJ - Smarje pri Jelsah, TOL - Tolmin, TRB - Trbovlje, TRE - Trebnje, TRZ - Trzic, VEL - Velenje, VRH - Vrhnika, ZOS - Zagorje ob Savi, ZAL - Zalec.
    • Slovakia (1997-2022):
      • added following plates: vintage, diplomatic plates, private export, import, dealer, sports car plates (all available 1997, 2004 and 2006 styles). A completely new addition are 1997-2004 military plates (with "ASR" code intead of "SK")
      • it's possible to use a switch "|v=12", where "12" - 2 last digits of lowest year, to change year numbers displayed on export plates. You can also use "|v" alone (without the year number), for three purposes: for pre-2006 export plates to change the field date range from '01-'09 to '97-'05 or it can be used on import plates to display the date field with years '19-'30 (which is not shown by default).
    • Slovakia (2023-now):
      • following plates have been added: vintage, export, dealer, import, diplomatic and sports car plates. Some of these plates (like import/dealer plates introduced in 2025) are a completely new addition in my mod.
      • you can use the switch "|v=23" (where "23" - earliest of 3 year numbers displayed) on dealer, import and export plates.
At this point, only three license plate systems remain to be implemented to reach the feature level of version 1.4: Germany (1956–2000), Hungary (1958–1990) and Romania (1977–1992). It's very possible that by the end of October my work will be finished and version 2.0 will be published in the repository. If you encounter any bugs, please report them here!

Interesting. Please make sure that you have only the repo version installed (76.5 MB file downloaded or subscribed from the repository), and you've deleted all previous beta releases (e.g. 68.1 MB file from 19 September) from your "AppData\Local\BeamNG\BeamNG.drive\current\mods" folder. If Hungarian 1958-1990 and Romanian 1977-1993 plates are also missing, that's almost certainly the case. If these plates still don't appear, try to clear the cache with "Support tools -> Clear cache".
I've checked it on my PC - I deleted the unpacked version (making sure that no other versions of my mod are present in the mods folder), cleaned the cache, downloaded the repo version (76.5 MB file) and put it in "mods" folder. Everything works as intended: plate designs using the DIN 1451 font, like "Germany Plate Design (1956-2000, new stickers)", are visible on the list and work correctly.
