The map is temporarily unavailable and will be published again once it's released for free. Thanks, everyone! Imagine the Gotthard with no traffic jam. It's 18.4 km of twin-tube motorway under a fictional Alpine massif: one tube for each direction, three lanes each, lit end to end. The tunnel climbs to a crest 8.3 km in, winds through two long S-bends, and ends on 4 km of dead straight road. There the daylight at the far end starts as a dot and slowly grows. The tube White enamel wall panels, a continuous LED light strip and a lamp over the road every 40 m, with brighter threshold lighting at both portals Recessed, lit SOS niches every 150 m, cross-passage doors every 300 m and a lay-by every 900 m Exit signs every 25 m, blue distance LEDs, jet fans, lane-signal gantries with message boards, and colour bands with a big number at every kilometre Three blue-lit rock caverns at 4.6, 9.2 and 13.8 km, wide enough to stop in Real darkness inside, like the stock game's own tunnels Your tunnel, your light 12 lighting presets for the whole tube: LED white, warm white, sodium orange, cool white, blue, green, turquoise, violet, pink, red, a rainbow along the tunnel and a running rainbow. The lamps and the walls' own glow change together, and the game remembers your choice. The run is timed Drive into a portal and a clock starts ahead of your car. At the other end you get your time, average and top speed, plus what the Swiss average-speed cameras would make of it, from keine Busse all the way to Raserdelikt. You can switch the clock off in the menu if you just want to cruise. There's a valley at each end with a river, a torrent crossed on bridges, and an electrified railway running into its own portal, with a train waiting at each end. You'll also find a cable car, farmsteads, snowy peaks with bare rock ribs, and around 30,000 trees and 79,000 clumps of real 3D grass along the roads. Before each portal there's the approach of a real Alpine crossing: metering signals, a control station with a lit canopy, and section-control cameras. Turning loops at both ends make the whole map one continuous circuit. Features AI traffic supported: one-way three-lane tubes, right-hand traffic, tuned to motorway pace 6 spawn points, including one on the final straight with the light at the end of the tunnel A day lasts 2 hours of real time and starts at 10:00; street lights switch on at dusk Textures ship pre-cooked, so there's no long "importing textures" wait on first load Controls E → Freeroam → Schwarzhorn-Tunnel: lighting colour and timer display on/off K / Shift+K: next / previous lighting colour
Curious how you assessed the quality of the mod without downloading it, but never mind. Thanks for the feedback)
This mod should not cost money, lol, considering the fact it’s just a tunnel mod. Mod quality is mid at best and I don’t think it’s worth the price…
I completely agree, paying 3-5 $ for a map like this is too much. The only thing is that a Patreon subscription unlocks access to a large number of mods, not just this one - the map isn't sold separately) So if you compare it to what you get for a 5 $ subscription, this map works out to about 10-20 cents. On top of that, the majority of my mods go public after their early access period, so paying isn't required. Thanks for your feedback)
Good old times when BeamNG mods were all free at any quality xd --- Post updated --- I wouldn't say it's shit though as someone said, it's just a premium npc tunnel
Now we get Glorified DLCs made by the Community despite the Game being a Paid Game (22,50€) with no MIcrotransactions, sure there are some Paid mods that are high quality, but most them, they're low quality as fuck (crappy meshlaps for example)
The mod isn't sold separately - it comes with a subscription (3-5 $) that unlocks access to 30+ mods. This is the tenth time I've written about this, but never mind, I can see it's easier to have a laugh than to read.
Have you ever considered that not everyone wants 30 mods when only interested in a specific one? If it could be purchased one time by itself people might give it a chance, but locking it behind a bundled subscription is clearly nothing more than a shameless cash grab
Do you know how Patreon works? The minimum price for a paid post is 3 $ - you can't set it any lower than that. Are you seriously accusing me of giving out more than one mod for that same amount? A shameless attempt of cash grab? It's just an early access mod for my subscribers that I shared on the forum. At least try to look into who a person is and what they do before insulting them, and then go ahead and accuse them of something. 99.99% of my mods go into general release for all players after their early access period. Part of my Patreon income goes to charity. I give my mods away for free to everyone who wants to play but doesn't have spare money to buy them, and I always give free subscriptions to kids and bring their ideas to life FOR FREE, just to make them happy. Enough with insulting someone over nothing. I'm not reaching into your pocket and I'm not forcing you to pay for a mod you don't like. Plenty of people buy it and are happy with it, plenty get it for free just by asking, and together we're growing our community and creating the mods that all of us enjoy. This map is just one part of what the subscription includes, and one part of what will become free for all players when the time comes. --- Post updated --- Dear friends, the link to the map has been removed from the forum at your request. The map will be published again once it's fully finished and out of early access - that is, once it becomes free. Thank you all for your feedback and have a good day!
Bro its not that deep. Look... other creators made way more realistic and beautiful Maps without selling it on Patreon....
I make free mods too - some of them have tens of thousands of downloads across various sites, but for some reason the forum only noticed this one. Don't you think there's no point clicking into a mod tagged Paid and then being surprised that it's paid? Let me explain again. I have a lot of paid subscribers on Patreon. I release mods to them in early access, they play, they suggest improvements, I make those improvements, and together we build the kind of mods we enjoy from scratch. This is one of those mods - it'll keep developing, and afterwards it'll become free. Do you see?) I've said this so many times now: 99% of my mods are only temporarily paid, and then they go public. Some mods go public right away. Those who want to support me and take part in the development join Patreon and support me, those who want to but can't just ask, and I give them a paid Tier for free, and those who don't want any part of it simply wait a few weeks and get the same mod FOR FREE. Let's leave it there, please. I've removed the link to the mod from the forum, just as you wanted. Once early access ends, I'll publish it again for free.
So it was only a paid early access the whole time? I don't recall seeing that in your earlier posts; you would have gotten far less backlash if you had mentioned it.
