Yup! Long time modder here (and also the guy who made about half of the house models you're using lol). I'm not too sure how versed you are in Blender, so I'm not sure how in-depth you want this explanation. Just ask if you need specifics!

To assign a material to an object in Blender, all you need to do is create a material, or link an existing one, in the materials panel while you have the object selected. And, that's basically it!... provided you only want one single material applied to the object, and that you don't particularly care what material that is.

To reference a material that already exists in the game and/or level, all you need to do is give the Blender material a name that corresponds to the name of the material on the BeamNG side. Be aware that BeamNG's materials have multiple name fields, and can therefore have multiple names. Most materials fill in the same name for all fields, so there shouldn't be any discrepancy, but in the event there is, use the name listed under "mapTo".

To get multiple materials assigned to different parts of an object (eg, wood siding on the walls, windows atlas on the windows, shingles on the roof, etc), you'll need to pop into edit mode (IIRC typically bound to TAB), and select individual faces of your mesh. While in edit mode, the material panel will give you the ability to assign different materials to different faces, as well as to select or deselect faces based on material assignment.

No way!! I just figured Garfield Heights was long gone and forgotten, didn’t think the creator would still be around. First off, thank you for all the original work and I should ask if you mind me borrowing some of your houses!

Second, I will dig into this more tomorrow and hopefully I can use your houses/assets for some guidance, along with your reply and figure this out.

    thanks man!
