Fatal Error: Unable to get current version

I've bought the alpha, run the setup exe as administrator (Windows 7 64x), install finishes, I enter my key and get the same error every time. (Screenshot below)



Anyone know how I can fix this?
(Yes I'm connected to the internet)

 

i guess either the servers were overloaded or your internet was.
try closing down everything which might run open and steal some internet speed.

or you could wait it out if its a server problem.

 

Could it possibly be blocked by windows firewall or your anti-virus software?

 

Possibly. I've shut down any antivirus and made a Windows firewall outbound rule giving the setup exe full access but I'm still getting the error.

 

Found it after checking the update.log, it was my proxy which I've never had issues with before, thanks =P
