Clarkson's contract has not been renewed. Hammond and May will be leaving if Clarkson doesn't return to Top Gear. Clarkson may be fired. The others will quit if he is. Either way, the show is suspended.

Heh, really is too bad the other two aren't gonna go on without him. He was my least favorite and getting worse with every series. I'd have moved across the Atlantic for his job, just to make sure his irreverence and general obnoxiousness never tainted the airwaves again.
Most of the fan base, including me, thinks the opposite. The other two won't go on without him because, although they sometimes think he's an idiot, the three of them work perfectly together, and it would never work as well as it did with a replacement for Jeremy. Jeremy's also the main host who leads the introductions and the "Star in a Reasonably Priced Car" segments. The other two don't want to do those things on their own, or let someone else do them.
