SORRY FOR POSTING AGAIN BUT I THINK IT'S WORTH SHOWING WHAT A COLOSSAL FRIGGING TIMESINK LOOKS LIKE. (imported from here) (imported from here)
Do you work in triangles? Are there any advantages over working in quads and then letting the game convert? Suspension looks nice btw!
Made my first ever car wheels that are not plain cylinders. Pretty pleased with how they turned out, the rest of the car aint looking to bad either now with see through windows and a new lick of paint. Then rendered in 4k for your pleasure. Dont mind the glass... A wheel (only in 1200p)
2 different police light patterns. Pressing "M" once starts the slow pattern Pressing "M" again starts the faster pattern Pressing "M" again turns the lightbar off. [webm=]http://puu.sh/n42t8/0792f224d1.webm[/webm]
Thanks! I work in quads. I triangulate for screenshots to make it look more professional (and to hide my ugly polyflow).
I got bored and used my free time to actually continue the work on my BMW ute. Not really happy with the engine bay, but I think it doesn't look too bad for my first attempt. Also, ignore the shading and mesh errors. inb4 do you even legroom Another project I started to work on a couple days ago: and two fancy renders:
Done a bit more work on the car. I have painted it white, fixed the windscreen, pushed grill inwards, added numberplate stuff, cut out doors and added panel gaps around them, made wheel arches bigger, made the headlights 3d (no textures and same glass as windows for now) and have also pulled up the bottom of the front bumper in the middle a bit. The interior is still a bit of a mess though. Its starting to look less like a teenage mutant ninja turtle Current tri count for everything in scene = 8000 ish
The dashboard is (almost?) done: (It looks so good with a subsurf. I may just keep it that way.) I want to leave some of it to normal maps but I'm still deciding what I should and want I shouldn't. Now, after some slight adjustments, it's time to move to the shifter area.
While I like the "Methfag" idea... I'd rather just finish it properly, high detail and everything But if I get bored, I'll probably do the methfag version :')
Why not both? Just add a crappy front/rear/roof texture and release it as is as the methfag, then finish it properly.
Because with cars like those, most people download it, play with it for 5 minutes, then forget about it. Having a high quality car is completely different. An RV would be badass!
