"Try pausing physics, if the FPS rises, its your CPU limiting you. But to be truthful neither your GPU or CPU sound up to the task. " Hah, my old computer must of really sucked, and must of had a MASSIVE bottleneck if I went from 12fps to 102fps when I paused it XD To be fair, I did put a GTX 550ti in there and I had a dual core 2.2ghz back then, oh the days, I've gotten a good pc since then
Man it really is both. the clock speed is horrible (at least 4.4GHz would do well for beamng) and well, integrated graphics are better than the 610. All in all get at least a 3 core cpu that can be overclocked to at least 3.9GHz an something like a r9 270.
I haven't got any problems with AMD, but their not really good when it comes to BeamNG, since only one core can be used at ones (ATM).
They aren't half as bad as people make them out to be, an FX-8350 at stock clocks preforms exactly the same in game as an i5 4570k. Over clocking can get a good amount more performance out of it too, especially on water cooling.
I still chunder along on a hexacore phenomII. It's fine. AMD processors aren't really that bad, beamNG is really the only thing that seems to top it off so far.
There's no 4570K. And the single thread performance of an 8350 at stock is nowhere near that of an i5-4570/4590, let alone a 4670/4690K. For a gaming PC AMD is just fine, for Beam it isn't. Older Phenom chips actually perform better since they have one FPU per core.
I meant a 3570k* my bad. While that may be true, it is more than usable in BeamNG, I really have no idea why you think otherwise.
It is usable in beamng, though it might not take the moonhawk, H45, or any T75 variants; at least at stock. Crimsonskull managed to get himself banned over that discussion already. Overclocked is a different story. I would try to take it to at least 4.4-4.6
It runs everything easily, other than the T-series and it only just cant run that, an OC would fix that pretty quick. I've actually found myself being GPU limited with the new real-time reflections in some cases which I wasn't expecting. But yeah dont think im arguing that these chips are superior to anything (like Crimsonskull did) they do have some pretty weak single threaded performance but they have a pretty harsh reputation that they don't necessarily deserve imo. While on the topic of overclocking I recently got a Phantom 410 and a Nepton 240m just for that So when it arrives (in a while) ill be able to get some nice maybe 4.7-4.9 clocks on it and see where that gets me
I know what you mean, but the Phenom II CPUs are probably the best line AMD ever made. I'm still trying to wrap my head around how a X4 965 from 2009 can stand up to most of the FX line.
FX literally didnt improve anything over the phenom though, except perhaps the clock speeds available from factory and power consumption. Clock for clock, single threaded performance wise you are still on par with an FX. Multithreading, well you arent crippled by the FX siamese twin architecture.
Saying that my Phenom II @3.2GHz never really worked that well with BeamNG. It would get max 25FPS with the Moonhawk and the T75 (when it wasn't crashing my game) got around 9-12FPS. I would strongly advise a Intel CPU for BeamNG, even if you have to sacrifice some GPU performance.
Tell it to my rig 'conceived' in 2008 and updated in 2010 and 2012 - it somehow manages to keep good framerates so it obviously doesn't know it expired 7 years ago . - - - Updated - - - There was probably something wrong with your system. No problems with Moonhawk here.
