Can somebody please tell me how to change the horsepower of a car in the most recent build of BeamNG?

    I go to here:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive\content\vehicles

And all the vehicle folders are in ZIP form?

I tried extracting the suburst ZIP to the vehicles folder, now I get a "checking integrity" every time I start BeamNG, but I wonder if that is related to the recent update?

    Thanks

Integrity check is indeed new. Can't unzip and tweak beams?

    Unzip, modify files, zip.

I'd rather go back to using folders really. Much easier to edit vehicles in real time.

What i do is keep the vehicle but unzipped in the content/vehicles folder, even if its checks they are there and you can modify them in realtime

I did that too, but it seems like it only works with certain mods. Makes editing cars a pain in the ass.

Open ZIP, select the vehicle folder

    (imported from here)

    Extract here

    (imported from here)

Delete original zip afterwards so it loads from extracted folder

    (imported from here)

    Look! An editable folder! :)

    (imported from here)

    Files all there to edit

    (imported from here)

Easy. If you want to modify materials, they will sometimes appear in Documents\BeamNG.drive\vehicles\ and that's the only weird or "complicated" thing.

You could've simply ignored Aborath, rather than posting possible thread-derailing content.

I might be utterly wrong, but isn't reading from an uncompressed folder faster than reading from a zip anyway?

Quick question, guys. For some reason if I bump up the Horsepower (the Moonbeam V8 in this case), in-game the car just automatically goes to 4th gear and redlines (RPM) and will barely move? I started off at like 700HP but brought it back down to 500 and the car is still doing this strange thing. How can I fix this?

    Thanks

    "clutchTorque":500

Increase this, pretty sure your clutch is just slipping.
