Well, went to play the game today, apparently the 58gb it already downloaded isnt enough. Its now downloading more, currently sat on 60gb/71.7 with steam predicting 4 days to complete that. So much for preloading...

 

Pre-ordered it months ago, did arrive on time but I only got the 500k for online and story mode, also anyone knows the install time for the discs? Hope my cd writer doesn't catch fire

 

I'm just interested in seeing how the game looks on a PC. I'm gonna crank the settings up until my GPU chokes then make it barely playable (~20-25 FPS).

Whenever the the crack is released, that is.

 

Gave in to temptation and bought it..

(Also bought two friends a copy because I felt like being a nice person)

 

It just feels like im being f**k*d in my a**h*le, 40kbs, really?

 

For somewhat reason game using only 512MB of videomemory while I have 1GB. Some "nice" screens bellow.

My preload stopped at 58, as of this morning that upped itself to 71.7

 

Yay, didn't have to download anything after that 59.1, 1080p 60FPS wooo!!!!!

The finished install size is 60GB, almost exactly.

It will climb to just above 120GB while unpacking the preload and then return to 60GB once it's done unpacking and can delete the encrypted archive.

 

Lool, there's more, after this there will be another download of 300MB...

Oh and dont use the pause button, just dont..

 

Steam begs to differ. Its also changed size twice in the last hour.

 

What does it do? Just throw your connection out and not reconnect when you try to unpause? or does it just cancel completely? XD I'm probably leaving the PC on all night then if it doesn't start speeding up... This is such bullshit man. They could've fit those 5gb on an 8th disc if they needed to, so it's an anti piracy thing for sure, a 5gb download on day 1? How is that ever a good idea...

 

Either there was a 10GB patch in the last 15 hours, or Steam's shat itself. Seeing as other users are still updating from 58.8GB to 59.1GB and then unpacking to 60.04GB like I did last night, and you claim it's changed twice in quick succession, I assume it's the latter. Besides, I've never known Steam to change update sizes in real time like that. It'll finish working on one patch, and then start again on another. I'll be able to get to my computer and confirm/deny any changes in a few hours.

Steam also told me it would take 4 days to unpack, it took about an hour with a 7200RPM HDD.

 

Well sometimes it refuses connection, but when I was at about 340MB out of 353 I paused and unpaused and it kicked me back at 40MB

 

I got it to not crash launching Social Club. Needed to disable my Graphics Card...

Edit-OH MY GOD! This is so trippy in first person.

 

Decrypting now, hopefully the game will work smoothly for me.

In all seriousness, it's back to 90kb/s and it won't go back up no matter what.
Have a feeling my internet provider could actually be throttleing our internetspeed down now due to after-hours. They usually cut internetspeeds late in the evening. -_-
