Both of these mods are over a year old, so I wanted to bring them back to life by updating them for the newest version of BNG. Here are the original threads for the Datsun and Jeep. These are two of the best mods in this community, and both were made by dkutch. Enjoy! List of Updates: -Added Vehicle Selector info and pictures -Fixed material reflections and organized layers -Fixed Color Selector -Added real color options from real color codes (as well as a few extras for the Datsun) -[Jeep only] Added new dirt texture (read below) The original dirt textures for the Jeep looked pretty nice, but they make the mod seem a lot more dated. I used some of gabester's dirt textures on the default vehicles to make a simple dirt texture to replace it. It's not anything amazing, but it looks a lot better in my opinion. Remove the folder from the archive and place files in Documents\BeamNG.drive\vehicles
frickin' hell yes. Two of my fav old mods! Thanks! It would be nice if an "old mod refresh" trend started up. Especially the mods without .dae's.
it would seem the datsun still has some bugs... EG the offroad 1st person camera and the sagg and the fact it eats its self after a small tap to the wall
I haven't noticed either of these bugs, and I've been throwing the Datsun around since it came out. Either way, I'm not planning on reworking any of the Jbeams. Just updating the mods from the way they were before.
Do you know why I like this mod? Its because it takes two really old, awesome mods, and improves them! Great job
Just a question. Are you going to eventually update the jbeams on the trucks or fix the crushing issue with the datson and the shaking to death issue with the jeep? Even if you don't these mods are awesome! I like using both of them.
Datsun is awesome, but it does have a random habit of coming to pieces after sustained high speed, doors start falling off and body starts to crush from the mid point of door openings. Its still good though, race version is seriously fun to drive.
Honestly, I haven't seen either of these problems and I've had these mods for a long time. It seems like a fair number of people are having this issue. Which version are you running?
i also have the collapsing issues, also the driveline is very fragile in the 4wd versions, braking from anything above 50 or 60 and it breaks
