    Hello community,
I was wondering about my frame rates because they don't change at all when I change my graphics options. It doesn't matter if I play on low or high settings.
Generally, they're always at about 20, but it depends on the map and car(s) and changing the graphics settings doesn't make any changes as mentioned above.

It would be nice if someone could help me with this,
    YouRik

If you have an Nvidia card, go into the Nvidia control panel and in the "Manage 3D settings" tab, make sure the "Power Management Mode" is set to "Prefer Maximum Performance" instead of that adaptive rubbish (which actually works pretty good most of the time.. just not with this sandbox)

And you are sure you're not CPU limited?

Well... I have a HP EliteBook 2740p Runs 2 Cars without lag on Both of the grid maps and Cliff map. Can run 3 cars with a tiny bit of lag with the charger in. ohh and only 2Gigs of ram. With only 801MB free at the moment (BeamNG DRIVE is not running) :)

Well, my PC is a bit older but I play current games on about middle settings and sometimes even high settings.
My CPU is an Intel Quad Core 2 Q6600 running on 2.4ghz. My GPU is an NVidia GeForce GTS 250 and I have 4GB of RAM.
I know these specs aren't really something which I can expect an amazing performance with, but if the laptop mentioned above runs the game that well... and the specs in the wiki page are pretty much lower than mine, too.

I tried the setting in the NVidia control panel you suggested. I set it to "Prefer maximum performance", but nothing actually changes.

By the way, the hardest map seems to be the Big Rock Island, which is why I'm testing it on there. The grid maps work pretty well.

Shall I maybe get some more RAM?

With 2-3 cars in the game my CPU usage can go to 100% on my Intel Core i5 3570K 4.2Ghz which is way better than your CPU so I think your PC is CPU limited for this game. My GPU usage is high too but I am running on high setting.

Yes, thanks. I just quickly took a look at my CPU and RAM usage and it was at around 55% both on the second grid map with the standard pickup vehicle. I was driving and crashing etc. and my frames were constantly at around 22 per second.
I can't really understand why it is like that, since the last thing would be the graphics card, but apparently, that's not the problem either.

    Thanks for everybody's help,
    YouRik

PS: I might try to find a better PC where I can test the game. And if I should ever find a reason for this behaviour, I'll post it right here.
