Alright, I'm excited then. I've heard from a few people that it is pretty good.

after finally trying to check out the 2 hour conference vid of that Prof. Barkley put my life into words, I can say now that the calendar part isn't my issue. I don't even really notice time going by, so 4 days feels the same as 4 quarters in my mind, but I do notice time going by as it happens. (just doesn't archive or whatever, I guess)

IMO there aren't even that many SJW's there. It's really just a bunch of assholes that have an excuse now to loot and steal. A protest, which literally all of these cop things seem to be in the beginning, turn into the same thing that I don't like. I get the whole "let's fix the bad cops, fix the racism that some of em follow" concept that I want to believe the message of it is. (saying "the bad cops" as a number of small value that represents the ones that are actually corrupt, not cops as a profession/whole to be bad). It's sad that people shouldn't even trust what's on TV any more, or almost even news in general. It's really bad.

It's usually because the seniors actually have more experience compared to the people that are a year behind with their experience. I wouldn't want to choose someone that isn't the most experienced and effective for the job, and seniors usually are the ones that fit that proper position.
Also with texas, it seems like its another country in it's own way. It doesn't deal with much BS.

Still don't get why people blame guns for everything that the guns are a part of. It's just the most visible and believable scapegoat to the issue. A video game with violence in it won't be the only reason, if it even is one, to a violent attack on other people. (parenting, traits that come from genetics, UNSTABLE mental illness/health, and probably a few other things play a part in the big picture. I have ADHD, which definitely doesn't make my mental health perfect; I play games with guns and violence; I have family history of depression; and all of those things are still not causing me to go out and want to shoot up a school.) Look at Sweden, and how it doesn't have much violence with guns, despite them (afaik) being similar to the US with handling that subject.

I'm an advocate of gun rights, but I have no illusions about the potential effects of a gun-touting society. Among a myriad of other arguments, gun ownership seldom changes people's minds. Why? Because people are dumb. Most crimes are either performed in the heat of the moment, or are performed by people who are convinced that they are good enough not to get caught or hurt. In either case, risk of injury or death won't keep people from breaking laws.

My sister told me a story about a sub she had at one point. On what was supposed to be a free day, he had the entire class start work on an essay paper that the regular teacher hadn't assigned them, and hadn't even mentioned to the sub at any point at all. Not that he was being mean-spirited, but because the man is genuinely senial. The scariest part? He's normally a bus driver.

Sadly, the "attack" AI has been stripped out of the game, as have "flee" and "keep distance." You can take this one of two ways:
    1. Badly, in that the devs are jumping the gun in removing a beloved feature in lieu of its eventual and likely unstable replacement, or
    2. Positively, in that they are very near to cracking the code of creating a viable pathfinding attack AI

I believe it was Machiavelli who said, and I'm probably paraphrasing here, "Any problem solvable by way of an application of malice, is more easily solved with deception."*

The intent to kill does not originate in the implement.

An unstable person that wants to go on a rampage may use firearms if available, but if not, look at China, they go on stabbing sprees.

A knife is just as viable a murder weapon as a firearm. Yet a sane person does not pick up a firearm or a knife and immediately want to commit a violent crime.

The intent to commit the crime originates elsewhere, the implement is then chosen after.

The Czech don't have America's firearms issues, yet their firearms are cheap and just as non restrictive, if anything, ownership may be easier over there. Shootings? Not even nearly as much of a problem.

Should also be known that Britain's most successful sportsman is totally unheard of to most, he's a clay shooter.

Couldn't have said that better myself. Blaming guns for killing rampages is like blaming spoons and forks for America's obesity.

It is not as if we are in the car together with Windows rolled up, Window locks on, and you locked in my methane.
I agree global warming is true, however someone small and skinny as I does enjoy deep fried food occasionally.

I swear gotsleep is just a troll that logs a spambot onto his account every now and then, but goes back to human posting just often enough to not get banned.

That hurts my feelings you know. Technically I am a troll, I live in the lower peninsula of Michigan, below the Mackinaw Bridge currently.
I also see that as a threat which makes me even more uncomfortable now that Valve has issued the ability for banning users directly trying to launch a game.
Couple that with their support when asking for capital returned, example: they still have my money because refunding money for paid mods does nothing except put money in one's steam wallet,
well then it is you picking on a little guy now. thank you 4

Fellas, I just went outside for a jog, ran four miles, set off the local sheriff's radar speed trap computer @ fifteen miles per hour.
When I cleared my sinus cavity in the shower I spit blood or something red out down the drain, before I could confirm what it was I could not do it again.
I will not go to the doctor for this, I am afraid.

This is why I don't exercise. It kills you, very slowly.

I've never met anyone who died by sitting at the computer for 8 hours a day like I do.
