Welcome to the forums, mate! What you just did here is called a bump. That means if the last post is really old, than you probably should leave it alone.

 

Maybe in the 0.3.8.4 release the devs will surprise us with a new thread scheme that eliminates threads after 3 months of inactivity.

 

That might get rid of some pretty good threads...

 

I'd keep them for archival purposes, but autolock after six or so months after last post.

 

Autolock from everyone other thread starter and mods would be ideal.

 

Welp, if they're pretty good then that usually means the author has the where with all to take accountability for their creations and would be
exempt in most cases to the rule. Folks starting WIP vehicle threads and then abandoning them for whatever reasons is clearly annoying and
will only get worse as more and more new members sign up. It would be illogical to expect all brand new members to have the same
etiquette seasoned members have learned. Some sort of common sense control needs to be implemented, I for one am sick and tired of
seeing 2 year old vehicle threads that died long ago and will never see the light of day....ever. New members would be saved from the
dejection of a dead mod as well as getting reamed for "bump violations". It's fucking silly.

Zappymouse's idea makes sense, a timed lock out that a thread creator could petition to have re-activated.....yeah.

 

You know, it could just work out that any mod that doesn't have the tag [released] gets nuked after 3 months of inactivity. Would solve everything. Don't much care for WIP's where the author got as far as putting a half finished mesh on the Grand Marshal N/B and I especially don't care for "here's a mesh picture and nothing more".


Anyway, so far this looks interesting. Hope a nice .jbeam structure compliments the nice mesh when you finish it.

 

That would work until people start tagging their threads [Released] from the get-go.

Hello everyone. Excuse but I left a little side BeamnG. But now I turn the desire to continue with the projects, seeing new simulator updates and new tutorials. Anyway, I notice that my models are in principle not to download, itelectual property.

Why are you putting it in the showroom if you don't ever plan on releasing it? Do you just want to show off or something?

 

I did not put in the showrrom, I think ... I just create a post to ask how to do it
