Hey guys, what video settings would you recommend for my PC?
PC: CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 Golden Sample
    RAM: 8GB
    NO overclocking was done.

And I dont think that other things matter. So, what details should I set for a nice, smooth experience? ( I bought the game, played it, but hate that I have low FPS even after disabling shadows, and the game freezes for a brief second when I crash and then the collision marks appear)
    Thanks for reading :)

What resolution is your monitor. Resolution has a big impact in BeamNG.

I would suggest to try with the default settings for Lighting, Mesh, etc. Turn off Dynamic Reflections and SSAO in the PostFX Panel. X2 Antialiasing should do fine, eventually turn it off.

If you press J (to pause the simulation) and notice your FPS going up, your CPU is limiting the FPS.

I have the same processor as you, which should be able to run the game just fine.
Disabling the post fx settings, I managed to push my fps from 30 to over 50 on the East Coast map.

Well, by "just fine" I meant that the CPU can run most of the vehicles at 30 fps or above (if there's no bottlenecks). However, it can just barely run some of the heavier vehicles at a semi-playable fps. I get 17 fps on the gavril t75. In the long run, I would suggest upgrading both GPU and CPU
