How can I change the weight multiplier of all the nodes/parts in a vehicle at once?

I tried editing scalenodeWeight in vehiclename.jbeam, but it doesn't change anything.

I've done this with the Vanster. I was poking around in the van_body JBeam, and I changed the nodeWeight under //van body and it impacted the weight. But for some reason, it only affected the rear of the van. I guess changing the weight for the cab also would work.

I've tried this with the Ibishu; I changed the nodeWeight under
    Code:
    {"group":"hatch_body"},
in hatch.jbeam since it has no hatch_body file, and when I reloaded the car the front part exploded.
When I tried to reload it again, it just disappeared along with the debug screen.

However, the weight still decreased; from 980kg to 960kg.

You will need to open ALL of the .jbeam files for the particular vehicle (and make sure no .jbeams from other vehicles are open). You will need an advanced text editor like Notepad++. Find "scalenodeWeight" and replace it in all of the files and save all of them. Reducing weight will probably make the vehicle explode. Also, keep in mind that everything is case sensitive.

    Thanks.
Is there a possibility of adding a global weight multiplier (which wouldn't cause the vehicle to explode) into later versions?

Well, that's what this is. The thing is, the lighter you make something, the more you have to reduce its spring and damp values in order for it to be stable. All the vehicles are on the threshold of stability, so reducing weight will cause them to explode.

    thanks for this :) Gabe

who can create a utility / program to Change parameters in cars?

    example.

Change engine options Drivertrain / weight / deform or strengh of chasis. etc.?

( this remember the GTA garage programs haha) but its more easy and fastly to mod vehicles ( with perms of autors)
