    Hi,

I am looking for an exporter for .DAE files for 3DS MAX 2014. I use this programe to model and couldn't seem to find an exporter. If anyone uses the same or knows of an exporter any help would be appreciated :)

    Thanks,

    Rob

I have successfully done mods to the DAE's using bog standard 3DSMAX 2014 without issues (I modded the Off road wheels from the pickup onto the van :p). I suggest clicking export, then selecting 'Autodesk collada' then the MOST important step is to change the 'Axis conversion' 'Up Axis' to 'Z-up' (this is in the export menu after you select the directory you want to save the .DAE, if you don't do this you're going to have a bad time.). I reccomend saving the export config as a preset called 'BeamNG' to save you time later on.

Did some bit of research and found this : https://github.com/KhronosGroup/OpenCOLLADA/wiki/OpenCOLLADA-Tools
Latest version is compatible with 3dsMax 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 versions, but not 2014. I suggest you to try, even if the 2014 version is not listed. :)
