Change language?

So I installed game in Russian by mistake.... How do I change language? thanks.

IF you REALLY bought the game, than go to steam, library and right click on beamng, than go to preferences or settings and go to the language tab.

You can't buy BeamNG from Steam. Please buy the game from beamng.com.

 

I have same problem now. I really bought the game (on steam) and I tried changing language in preferences, but it didn't work. Halp

 

So why do I have Russian? Bought it legally on steam.

Could it be a mod to change language? Only names on side bar and titles of descriptions of cars, maps etc. are in Russian.

OK, it happened to be a naughty mod, that was advertised to do something else. I'm pretty sure I downloaded it here, which is alarming.

I just wanted to ask how i can change the Langauge .json file.
I downloaded it from the Translation-Website and idk where i must put it in to!

 

How to use it ingame
In the game version 0.7 you can use it manually already:

1. Stop the game

2. Download https://github.com/BeamNG/i18n/archive/master.zip

3. Unpack all .json files (they are in the subfolder 'i18n-master' in the zip) into the game installation path / locales. If the path is correct, there should be a en-US file already.

4. Start the game and select the new language from Options

(If you translate things, it might take the software some time to commit the changes back to github)

Here is where you are supposed to put them: steam/steamapps/common/beamng.drive/locales

EDIT:

They are not included in the official game but they can be downloaded from the wiki. The translations aren't 100% perfectly translated but they are still downloadable.
