I noticed when driving any car (especially the rear wheel drive ones) that once you get to ~90mph you start to spin out and it's extremely difficult to control your car. It's a bit easier in the front wheel drive car but still difficult. Will it be easier to control cars at high speeds in the future?

I can keep them straight on the grid map but it's a little hard on the other maps. The only car I have problems with is the Civetta Bolide.

Yeah that's the one I was mainly talking about, too.

It seems that air starts lifting the car up, therefore less traction on the rear wheels.

Need's a spoiler, to help with traction. As for the top speed I would suggest "Go Faster Stripes". Everyone knows stripes make cars move faster. ;)

    Are you sure it's aerodynamics?
I feel they should just give the rear wheels more traction.

We need traction control. I don't think advanced aerodynamics have been implemented yet but I could be wrong.

There are still some problems with the tires and rolling resistance so that the cars' top speeds are about 10-20% lower than they should be. Also, the speedometers are reading low on driven wheels for some reason, which we're working on.

If the problem comes from the more realistic tire model perhaps we could have two difficulties, basic and advanced that would give us a more generous way of controlling some of the cars. Of course it is just a opinion and I really want everyone to experience the realism of BeamNG and all the hard work you guys put into the new tire model. The last thing I would want to happen is the physics of the game being compromised;) Also this is the best game I've played in ages!

The high rolling resistance can't be solved by making it less realistic. It's as good as we've been able to get it so far. You have to understand that the way we simulate tires (with nodes and beams) is fundamentally different from other games, and there are a lot of unique problems and challenges that come with that. We will do our best to make it better.

Out of curiosity, is there a file to edit the transmission? I've edited the engine configurations but I can't seem to go much faster because of only 4 gears.

As far as in game vehicle control, I suggest you use an x-box controller, it allows you to manage your throttle input to control wheel spin. (shifting gears early also helps)

If this forum was moderated correctly, these
threads would be moved, deleted, locked, etc.

If the mods have a problem with people posting
on old threads, let them enforce it and deal with it...

Sorry for having a life outside of BeamNG. And Sorry for not being able to lock and delete every thread that's more than 2 hours old...

There are options in vBulletin to prune threads by specific
criteria, like how old the thread is and date of last reply, etc.
It doesn't take long to keep things tidy unless you let it
    get out of hand.

This thread is 7 months old, not 2 hours. Just saying. ;)

Why would you automatically close threads when they're old? What if someone has something useful to add to that thread after months of inactivity? Creates more of a hassle than the way it is right now.
And there was no reason to close it until you guys started replying to it. Even with the bump, people could've just left it alone. A moderator would've deleted the post. But nope, people like you had to reply to it to say "omg bump!"... After my reply, you could've let it sit and not replied, and it would've gone back down in the thread list But nope, had to kick it back up again. I left it open for that exact reason, because I knew someone would make another comment that had nothing to do with the thread, and it was gonna be a comment that would ammount to this: "no it's not the members fault that old threads get kicked back up, it's the moderators!", because that ALWAYS happens with old threads. And guess what? You did exactly like I expected.

    "Just. saying."
