mod installing problem

So I just got the Game when it came out on Steam. Now I've been looking forward to install some mods. I downloaded two cars and I have been trying to place them in all of these following paths as a .zip File. It just appears as "unknown" in the vehicle section when I try to spawn them in the vehicle menu. When I press on Spawn it just doesnt appear and I end up with no car.

These are the paths I've tried:
C:\Users\****\Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods\vehicles
C:\Users\****\Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\BeamNG.drive\vehicles
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\BeamNG.drive\content\vehicles

I hope someone can help me with this.

The Steam paths shouldn't be used as mods installed them may get wiped/moved with any update.

Currently there is an incompatibility with old mods (Things changed in how the system categorize them). The mods' author would have to upload their mods. Hopefully a fallback solution will be found for this problem.
