Before I begin, if you noticed this and wanted to make a post but didn't, I apologize but I just had to. If you already highlighted this in your own Post, I apologize. With that said, on to the thing. Tired of the boring old pigeon? Want a fire-spitting monster that weighs less than your sports coupe? Well, I Just discovered a little something magical with the pigeon that I felt like sharing with everyone that might not know. If you follow these simple steps, you can get a 200+HP Super Pigeon! 1. REMOVE THE ENGINE 2. Enjoy destroying countless sets of tires I didn't know what I was doing removing the already weak engine from it, but I did and this happened: After removing the hood, however, the UI stopped working, so I was stuck with that pigeon and map until I closed the game using ALT+F4. No, this is not a joke. No, this is not a lie. Yes, this is 100% serious, I did nothing to the pigeon's files, I just removed the engine in the Vehicle Mod Menu. Gabe, or anyone affiliated with this, if this was on purpose, you're brilliant. Have fun making extra dark donuts in your Uber Shoe Box.
Thanks for putting it out there thought it had been fixed;-) I believe this is caused because without a motor installed, the game uses the default motor. The engine file used in vehicle mods (and official vehicles) is essentially a revision to what the game defines as a motor At least that is how it was explained to mr vefore. I wonder if it works withotger vehicles though? Sorry for spelling my phone hates me
Hmm, That default engine would make sense but would it vary for other cars? When I removed the engine from the D-series I got a very low powered Engine thing that could barely move the truck. I think I'll test this out real quick. EDIT: Ok, I removed the engine from the D-series and it shows identical power, but it struggles to reach the max power, unlike the pigeon which reaches it without effort. Perhaps the weight difference is to blame?
3 factors. Pigeon has smaller wheels, larger wheels while increasing road speed do decrease available torque. Differentials may be different, regardless I think axle friction is set higher on the D15 and the D15 with front transfer case has even more friction. And yeah, the pigeon weighs a mere fraction of a D15.
Not quite, it's due to the gearbox being removed, thus the engine has to start in a 1:1 ratio (the same as when you try to take off in 4th gear in a traditional FR Manual car with a direct 4th). You will also notice that there is only 1 gear, which is the default when the gearbox is removed In the case of the Pigeon, the power to weight ratio is so high that the default engine has enough torque to move the Pigeon in the high gear.
