Scenario name: Hillclimb Total time: 01:57.86 Photo of end result: There's still room for improvement, but I'm happy with 2nd for now If anyone wants to build off of what I've learned of the course here's my strategy. - First off stick it in manual auto clutch. The slushbox on this thing is weak. - Also, turn before you think you should. The covet has mad under steer. - Launch from the rev limiter and run it through the gears up to third through the first gentle left. - Blip the throttle right around the end of the barricades at the junction and cut left hard, downshifting at the apex into 2nd. A good corner here should leave you at about 34mph after you regain traction. - Keep it in 2nd until the end of the bridge, hit the 2nd checkpoint, and keep straight until the right turn before the 3rd check. - After the tiny crest but well before you can see the rock on the inside of the corner pitch the thing right without letting off the gas or downshifting and you should juuust ease into the middle of the road right before the 3rd check. Make sure to straighten out the tracking before the next left. - Still in 3rd, toss it around the left turn after the 3rd check and chain the next right with a gentle drift. Don't brake or let off the throttle for either of these turns or you'll crash. - After you regain traction from the last right, let of the gas when you hit the shadow before the next right with the 4th check, and floor it while turning hard right as soon as you hit the sunny patch. - Right when you hit the 4th check bury the wheel into the next turn and downshift into 2nd. - Stay in 2nd all the way up the hill until you hit the 5th check, and make sure to turn hard for the left at the top of the hill. (3rd will be calling your name but it doesn't have the torque to hold speed so just stay in 2nd.) - Up shift at the 5th check (into 3rd), and floor it all the way to the 6th check. It's super scary but you need the speed for the right turn after checkpoint 6. - Juuust as you reach the end of the white part of the 6th check turn right hard from the middle of the road, and downshift at the apex into 2nd. You should end up hugging the inside of the corner all the way around. - Shift into 3rd near check 7 and try to keep it floored all the way to the bridge. If you lose traction or are unable to keep a good line slow down by letting off the gas, not by braking. Cut close to the concrete on the left of the bridge and don't try to approach the bridge straight. - While you are still on the bridge, floor it and turn left in a drift. You should already be drifting before you leave the bridge. You have to hit this corner pretty hard, and if you do it right it should feel about as out of control as the corner before check 3 did. You shouldn't need to downshift, but the last right is a doosey. - Hit the 8th checkpoint and try to get prepared for the upcoming right. This is my worst corner, and so far I've just been taking it cautious by downshifting and letting the engine slow me down until the apex of the corner. Be aware that this corner tightens quite a bit and you'll probably fly off the edge a few times. If you can figure out a way to drift it or approach it better keep as much speed as you can and floor it all the way to the finish line. There you have it. I'm going to go keep shooting for sub 1:55.
Hey gang. First time posting here, so I guess I'll start off with a few times I set. Rally Cross came out quite nicely. Scenario Name: RallyCross Total Time: 02:08:35 Photo of end result: Scenario Name: Town Short Course A Total Time: 01:07:09 Photo of end result:
Scenario: Get Down Run Time: 5:42.98 First Successful Attempt ^>^ - - - Updated - - - You posted my Island Tour time incorrectly This is partially my fault due to an error in my post stating the run time was 2:28.92 instead of my now revised 3:28.92, sorry about that, I do apologize. - - - Updated - - - Scenario: Get Down Run Time: 2:25.25 As you can see I've encountered a bug http://www.beamng.com/threads/13934-Scenario-Timing?p=218283#post218283

Yep, I'm pretty happy with this. Bring it on LJFHutch! Scenario name: Rally Small Island - Stage 1 Total time: 00:58.50 Photo of end result:
Cheater spotted: the standard Roamer redline is at 5k rpm - you are obviously using the lifted version with turbo stage 2. Remove from scoreboard please.
Are you guys going to make it where you can't change your car in scenarios so people can't cheat? Or people could just play the right way and use the default car.
Yes actually! It's called the LJFHutch anti-cheat system. Basically it's where LJFHutch is always in first place for every scenario, this way we can tell if a user is cheating because LJFHutch cannot be beat.
