On max settings with SSAO @high this game has low fps on some maps with 680 GTX (40 fps), i'll test with a better card later (780 or titan) but it needs some optimisation at this point  60 fps needed min

It's very badly optimized IMO, you need an i7 at least to run it good with more than one car. It's a cpu heavy game, what is your cpu?

I got 120-130 fps on max settings with a 660ti.

It's not badly optimized. Do some research on node beam physics (soft body physics) for games/sims.

It is brute force calculations, of course it like's i7s. Why is that an issue? Especially in alpha.

On tech demo yes i got very good fps too. But on the alpha (other maps with texture) i get like 40 fps. I have 3770k @4.5ghz HT ON so i doubt it's from my CPU or this game needs at least a 3930k/3970x @4.9ghz

I'd like to remember it's an Alpha yet.

    And 40FPS isn't THAT bad, I get 30-25FPS and I'm not complaining.

Because most people can't afford i7. It's not that bad, the game looks smooth on low framerates, I hope it will run better once it's released.

My 3570k and 7970 can run it sweet, never dips below 60 and can usually get a constant 80-90 and that's with absolutely everything maxed out including SSAO..

It's weird, I got a i7 3770k at 4.5 GHz like yours, and a GTX 670 EVGA FTW, no overclock, and I get a stable 60 FPS (with Vsync on) all the time in every map with everything at MAX, and 1080p resolution.
I haven't tried with more than one car yet, I will test that.

Same here with a 7950 boost and 2500k @ 4Ghz. I use vsync now and have 60 fps always.

3570 and GTX560 here, I get anywhere from 35-60FPS at full settings with multiple cars.

Ah yes, I probably should have mentioned that, it's in the tech demo.

Nevertheless, getting low frames in something like this with everything maxed out doesn't mean the games not optimized. I mean, have you seen what they've been able to achieve so far? Incredibly realistic soft-body physics, all rendered in real-time, and not to mention how good it looks.

Don't expect to crank up the settings on a new game and be disappointed when it doesn't run at an acceptable frame rate. Perfect example of this was the original Crysis, nothing at the the time could run that on max settings when it was released and for a long time after that. The same applies for this.

You must be having some problems because I can play it at 50 FPS on medium settings with my Intel i3 3220 Ivy and intel HD 2500 Graphics.
