this is what the irc in the chat page brings up for me anytime i enter? is this because of my name itself or the irc page?

Erroneous characters. Pretty self explanatory.

you can only really use a-z, A-Z, _, - and 0-9 in any user details. Might be a few others.

QWEBIRC cuts your name at the first space - and that is 70, a username can't start with a number.
