Hi all! Just brought a second hand tower to run beamng. Stuck at 20-24 fps, wondering if the gpu or the cpu needs upgrading. Tried high performance mode aswell to no avail. Also running 3 screens, tried one screen and it stayed the same. Here are the specs,Thanks!

    • GA-G41M Gigabyte Mobo

    • CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Running 3.0Ghz

    • 8GB DDR3 Ram

    • 7770 Power Colour AMD

Does your FPS improve when physics are paused? (press J to toggle pause)

EDIT : Judging by your CPU it probably will. If this is the case your CPU is too weak to run BeamNG.drive

    Yea it jumps about 10fps

Thought it might be the cpu, Is the gpu up to the task?

The GPU should do low-mid settings @1080p just fine. The CPU is an old low end model, huge bottleneck.

    I've got a Core 2 Duo @2.6Ghz

My Core 2 Duo @2.6Ghz with 4GB DDR2 can run the game @21ish fps with a GT610 2GB, I would suggest a new CPU, preferably Quad Core, I suggest a core 2 Quad or replace your Motherboard and get a budget AMD quad at around 4ghz. You have enough RAM and your GPU is probably ok.

    Good for you.
My i5 4460 and GTX 750 non-Ti can run the game at 80-ish FPS on Gridmap max with the "normal" preset (no FPS limiter)
On JRI I get about 40-ish FPS.
