Issue running mods

Hi all, so I have been trying to download mods to beamng drive. I dragged and dropped the vehicles/maps to the proper locations and they will not show up when I try to run my game. This is exactly where I went to drop my files.

computer>local disk c>program files x86>steam?steam apps>common>BeamNG.Drive>content>levels (or vehicles)

I have watched tutorials and I am doing exactly as they tell me. I believe I am running 0.3.8.3

Could there be something I'm doing wrong?

 

You should be running 0.4.0.4.
Also, you're supposed to drop the mods into /ducumtents/beamng.drive/mods.

I probably said it wrong. I am looking to install cars and maps. Also I downloaded the game from steam if that helps.

You should never touch program files>steam>steamapps>common>BeamNG.Drive>content. Dont bother opening that folder anymore. Use the mods folder in documents as that tutorial will indicate.

 

Do you know how I can get the update? I have not received on past the update I showed above.

 

The method above still applies to 3.8.3, as does the rule on not touching the content folder.

Migrate to steam if you havent already, best way to get updates. Occasionally tdev maintains a backup thread.

 

I downloaded the game directly from steam and I still have the update I described.

Also I have gone to the folder in the documents and it still wont work.

 

i have the same problem, though sixsixsevenseven i never put them in mods ive always put them in vehicles or levels and its always worked but now it doesnt work even when i put them in mods

 

Same although it has never worked for me.

I appreciate the help BTW. Means a lot. I'm trying as well.

 

Do you have the newest version of Steam?
That might be the cause.
