I'need to make a map!

    Create your level folder in Documents/BeamNG.Drive/mods/levels/'yourfolder'.

    EVERYTHING you save in the game editor will be saved in 'Documents/BeamNG.Drive/levels'. So, when you have a good amount of changes you want to make permanent, just copy the files from the 'Documents/BeamNG.Drive/levels' folder to Documents/BeamNG.Drive/mods/levels/'yourfolder'.

    Importing a heightmap has an issue where the game will put the .TER file outside the level folder (You will find it in 'Documents/BeamNG.Drive/levels' instead). To fix that, when you are done modifying the terrain (Sculpting the terrain), you can take that file and move it to your level folder and then open the level .mis file with notepad and adjust the location of that file.

    So instead of getting this:
    7qlHUFA.jpg

    You will manually adjust it to:
    FNOjdHL.jpg


    Remember to save your progress by moving the files from the 'Documents/BeamNG.Drive/levels' folder to Documents/BeamNG.Drive/mods/levels/'yourfolder'.

    The specific files that get copied back to the main level folder from the documents folder are very specific and depend
    on what you've changed in your map....pay attention!;)
