Help with mods? Probably a repeated question and I'm sorry

    Hey all,

Sorry if this is beating a dead horse, but the only things I could find on this matter just tell me where to place downloaded files. I just built a PC last week, so I'm new to modding and all that. I have the latest version of BNG, I was wondering how to get the mods I downloaded to work. I've dropped the .zip files straight from WinRAR into the Mods folder like instructed, but they aren't showing up in game. I managed to get a few modded vehicles installed (I think I placed them in a different folder by mistake, but they work), but many of the other vehicles, and none of the maps, have worked despite following the instructions. Here's where the non-working downloaded files are located now:

And here's where some of the working vehicle mod folders are located:
    BeamNG Cache Vehicles Folder screenshot.png
Do I need to move all of the mod content from the "Mods" folder into the proper folder within the "Cache" folder to get the mods to work?

Again, I apologize if this is a redundant thread. Thanks for looking!

I saw that post already and followed the instructions, but they still don't appear in game. Thanks for the reply though!

For some reason, when i put mods in the mods folder it doesn't appear in my game. so, even if it's not the best way to do, i always put my mods into the "content" folder.
The only inconvenient is that everythings is delete when the game update. But, i just create a mods folder "outside" the game in the downloading part of my computer. Where i can take back all the mods i want to keep.

so, here's the path for me:

program file/Steam/steamapps/common/beamng/content/(levels for level) and (vehicules ..well..for vehicules.)

the way i do it is like this and it works perfectly.
i put extracted mods in the my documents folder, inside the mods folder like yours but inside the mods folder the maps are in a folder called levels, and the cars are in a folder called vehicles.
i hope i helped a bit, if it does not work i have no idea why but i can confirm that it should work. it works for me.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll give those methods a try and see how it pans out.
