Yes but yanks pay monthly for cable or satellite, we dont. Once you have your TV license (which is not expensive), you can flick the TV on and just watch stuff rather than paying a large sum to the cable company each month.
We get over the air broadcasts, they're still a thing here. Better visual quality than cable, plus on clear days we get channels from the States.
I filled the crown vic up with gas today. I averaged 15mpg since the last fill-up. Lol Thats a bit too low, honestly. It's rated 24 highway and 16 city. About half of the tank was interstate driving, and the other half was suburban driving, which is in-between city and highway, and I don't think my right foot is heavy enough to offset it that much. Maybe it's the dirty throttle body. It's disgusting looking on the back but I'm scared to clean it D:
They make stuff specifically for cleaning out throttlebodies like that, Potato is just afraid of screwing up the flappy thing.
I'm afraid of stripping the coating that ford puts on it. I hear of people ruining these things all the time. Pits fine if you use something that's not abrasive enough to strip the coating, but I can't find anything anywhere saying what you can use. Just assholes saying not to clean them. But this thing is bad, it needs to be cleaned.
Does it actually function correctly? If so, its fine. As long as the valve can rotate through its full range of motion without sticking, cleaning it will do nothing. Tyre pressures and oil levels are good? Sure you haven't just given it a teeny bit of lead foot? It's surprising how little an increase in pedal travel causes such a large decrease on mileage.
What do you reckon guys, my first ever Scale Model! Worked on this for so long, finally got it all nice and painted. Bear in mind i'm not a modeller, i prefer doing the sketching/rendering side of things, but i'm super happy with how its turned out! I only pushed the valve for the first 20ish degrees of travel, so I don't know if it can rotate completely without sticking. I bet it can, if these things are strong enough to chop fingers off I call bullshit on it sticking on a little bit of gunk. The main thing that concerns me about it is the decreased air flow, but whatever, I'll just leave it be. Tire pressures are fine. I think. They all pass the visual test so I haven't bothered to actually check them. I probably should. All fluid levels are good. Might just be my driving habits. I'm gonna try and be more conservative with the throttle on this tank of gas and see if it makes a difference. But that's a lot easier said than done with this car
Very nice lines! Curious if that is the clay model finished or something like a fiberglass shell? (thinking due to it not being a solid chunk) edit: I've now seen the video caption
It's not really thick enough to impact the airflow beyond what the o2 and maf sensors can already compensate for
Yeah, its a really long process making the moulds from the clay, then making the actual fibreglass model itself. (imported from here)
I almost backed into my neighbor's Prius once. We were both backing out of the driveway at the same time, and didn't notice one another. I'm glad I had rear parking sensors, otherwise I would have hit her. But we both stopped before that happened. My driveway is on a slight incline, so I wasn't able to see her in my rearview mirror while she was backing out. (Convertibles aren't really known for fantastic rear visibility with the top up, and the bulky rear headrests that act as a roll bar in the event of a rollover get in the way as well.) I assume she just wasn't looking.
Not saying this to be an asshole, but you reverse like a complete idiot. Calm down before you hurt someone.
In the 40 something years that my dad has lived here, he has never hit someone going down there and in the 3 years I had my licence, this is by far the closest I have come. If you listen to the audio you would hear my community policing radio going on the whole time, there was a fire nearby and I was on my way to go see if I could help.
