Hi , i would like to talk about this very old game, Street Legal Racing redline http://www.jeuxvideo.com/jeux/pc/00012566-street-legal-racing-redline.htm , in this game you can buy a car and race it in the street to earn money. It had some similar stuff to beamng , you can wreck some parts of the car , bend the car ect ... You have a place where you work on the car , you can open the engine and change parts by some other parts you have already buy in a catalogue , in the aim to increase the torque or power . You can change gearbox , springs , engine , N/A to turbo , brake , wheel , ad some NOS ,new body part , peinting , ect .... I think this game is pretty similar to BeamNG , there are a big community around it for mod , new cars , new parts ect ... Here are some picture to show you what you can do in this game , the resemblance is clear . / edit / I am fond of this game , but it become very old and the physics sucks for 2013 , so i am seeing an evolution of this game in beamNG , i hope that my post will give some ideas to the dev Keep up the good work !
Agreed, this game needs a remake badly. Almost no games like it on the market right now - - - Updated - - - http://automationgame.com/ is close, but there's no racing in that game.
http://www.beamng.com/threads/7-Rules The same rule from the RoR forum is here too. You can't use models from other people unless they say you can. The model must be 100% your of course. Google Warehouse models are also not allowed due copyright.
English is not my mother tongue , when you talk about "models" you mean the picture ? If yes , i appologize , i will delete them .
Oh well, it's not clear what he wants. Does he want the devs to remake SLRR with BeamNG physic or what?
Okay. So I've been working with Street legal racing for a long time, I've been in the modding community since 2009. The game won't be remade. We have already tried asking Activision for the codes to help us get further in modding, physics and so on. We had reached the signatures but the devs decided to say no in the end. There is a website called www.street-legal-mods.com, Gom-team. But might I add, no mod stealing please. Because we have had plenty of people stealing our mods and putting them up for sale saying it's their own. If you have any questions about SLR or how it works, please pm me or go to the website and ask the community. Also, I've got Automation and a membership, they are slowly implementing car features now actually. It's very good so far and still has a long way to go, so if your into the very technical side of engines and suspension etc then go to Automation/SLR. If you want pure fun, physics and basic modifying of cars then stay clear away from those two games haha.
I don't want to steal any mod already done on street legal , just i am expecting that the dev team include a similar modification system to BeamNg that what we can find on street legal. I have talk about mod and comunity in the aim to show there are some guys interested by those feature and we can't find it in some new game. I am just saying , maybe the dev team should integrate in beamNG some part of street legal gameplay .
I highly doubt they will any time soon. The amount of work required will be immense. Maybe certain aspects such as a store system or something along those lines, but other than that, I have huge doubts they will try that any time soon.
Actually this might be plausible. Think about it; we already have a parts selection menu, we have a few racing modes coming and a garage shouldn't be all that hard to build (teleport the car into an existing building and add a few textures). The only thing they would have to write from scratch is an inventory system. Considering they've made the most physically advanced car simulator game to date, I'd say they have the skills.
Street Legal Racing was a cool game. Also, thanks for mentioning Automation, I had planned to keep checking up on it but forgot.
the devs have said that there are plans for a slrr like career mode, just made a lot better, so be sure to keep an eye out for that
