I downloaded the latest from Steam and when I press play I get this blank window that doesn't do anything.

It doesn't even close unless I use task manager.

Odd. Did you have older version installed?

A fresh reinstall may help. Do that in this specific order:

    -Unistall BeamNG from Steam
-Delete BeamNG.Drive folder from MyDocuments (Backup mods if you have/want)
-Delete BeamnG.Drive folder from Steam/Steamapp/common (If there is still a folder)
    -Reinstall BeamNG.

I did have an older version installed. I will try that now, thanks. Hopefully I will have enough internet to do it.

I tried deleting it completely and reinstalling it, nothing changed

It's a pretty old OS too for nowadays. It's time for an update ;)

I plan to build a new PC soon. What is the easiest way to get the latest XP compatible version?

I would say minimum OS should be windows 7 or above.

well Xp is unsupported as of like april 2012 or 13 or whatever,
And Vista is a heap of junk

Win 8 is an option but win 7 is best bet if you feel win 8 is too clunky [personally I have no problem with either os but win 7 is my Operating system of choice as of now.]
