How well, if at all, will my PC handle BeamNG?

So, i just spent what little money i had on upgrades for my PC, and am curious how well i should expect BeamNG to run with playable FPS.

    Specs:

    AMD 5350 APU 2.05GHz

    4GB(soon to be 12) DDR3-1600MHz Ram

    Radeon R7 250X 1GB (1.0GHz)

I don't mind on playing low(er) settings, but driving a low-poly, cardboard box on a flat, texture-less map isn't a going to convince me to buy the game.

The simple answer is that it won't run all that well. You'll probably have to play on medium settings on maps that aren't too intensive and low-medium settings on maps that are. 12 GB of RAM is probably a bit overkill compared to the rest of your PC if you don't multitask heavily and have 100+ chrome tabs open. But it may not matter all that much. I still throughly enjoy this game on an older MacBook in a Windows installation with all settings on low-lowest and an Xbox 360 controller plugged in.

The Demo Version doesn't even run. Double-click the icon, wait a few minutes...nothing.

I just installed it on my laptop, and it does work. You just need to install it properly. Make sure to extract it and install it, preferably as an Administrator, and make sure you have lastest C++ runtimes.

Still, better to save it than spend it on something that doesn't improve your performance.

There is no game on the market right now that cannot be run on 8gb.

Welp, I have 4 GB RAM, i5 with 1.7 GHz, and NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 640 LM at 1 GB and this game runs laggy at heavy map (East Coast, Dry Rock Island, etc.), a bit smoothly on lighter map (Cliff and Gridmap). Don't ask about the pure grid map, it's flying with FPS.

You (barely) meet minimum requirements; of course it won't run very well with a 1.7 GHz processor and a GT 640.

Assuming i scrap buying the RAM for now, would it be worth it to put the money into a new CPU? Really pushing the money limit, so i found the FX-4350 4.2GHz Quad-Core which would seem to suit this game and the few other games i play.

    Edit: Another idea: Athlon x4 860K 3.7Ghz quad-core

Your motherboard cannot take any amd fx series part. Fx uses am3+ socket motherboards, yours is fm1. That athlon is fm2 so also cannot fit your motherboard.

If you want more ram. 8gb only. Nothing really uses more than that, if you want more than that then go to 16gb. 12gb kicks you to single channel mode.

Are you using a integrated graphics card? You might want to try disabling collision in the options\gameplay menu if you are, or just saving your pocket change towards a dedicated graphics card if you aren't using a laptop.

Because you have an underpowered CPU and even more underpowered GPU. It's not a gaming PC.

on my computer my frames will change a lot like on East coast when I start up the map for about 30 seconds ill get 25-35 fps then my frames will drop to about 10-15 frames then 1-5 minutes later it will go back
(imported from here) up for 30 second then go back down again!?! why is that.
