Hello, I have been working on a 650 HP version of the Ishibu 200BX for a few weeks now, trying to get the engine, suspension, transmission, and so forth tuned correctly, and I am happy enough with the development that I thought I would let you guys have some fun with it. Just like the 200BX, first gear is a bit finicky, but to give the car good acceleration, the 650 HP also has a finicky second gear, which is why the video makes it seem like the car doesn't go all that fast from 0-60 for having so much power. It seems to top out at around 193, though it might inch a couple higher if I felt like holding down 'W' for long enough. Don't click on the base model car that shows up as an option (the one without a thumbnail), the parts for it have been deleted, and I am trying to figure out why it still shows up. TO INSTALL: Unzip, and put the RaceCoupe folder into the vehicle subfolder of your mods folder. Then, place the cheetah_engine.ogg file in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\BeamNG.drive\art\soun d\. REMEMBER TO MAKE A BACKUP! CALL THE STOCK SOUND "CHEETAH_ENGINE_BACKUP" OR SOMETHING SIMILAR IN-CASE OF A BUG OR AN UPDATE BREAKS IT. Demo Video: Changelog: v1.0 Initial release v1.1 Added ESC Added overfenders from D-Troxx's 200BX Addon's mod Deleted unused parts Things that I need the community's help on: Waiting for one or both of the people making the racing skins to release their packs. Need someone to put the Stig in the car. Bucket seats (looks like D-Troxx has that covered, but it's still open for any modders) Need an aero kit (details: http://www.beamng.com/threads/14426-Modelling-Request-Aero-kit-for-200BX-Race-parts). Single-nut/bolt hubcaps (anyone want to take a shot at it?). Can anyone tell me why the one manual stock 200BX is still showing up even though the .pc and .pc.cs files are deleted? Current Credits (will be updated as people help me with the aforementioned stuff): Model/JBEAM: BeamNG Engine/Transmission/Suspension mods: TheMohawkNinja (me). Sound: Edited from Next Car Game Sneak Peak 2.0 (Bugbear Entertainment).
Re: Ishibu 650BX: A 650 HP version of the stock 200BX. The 200 in 200bx stands for the 2l engine, like the nissan 200sx. So it seems like your renaming doesn't follow the original name scheme, unless you put a 6.5l engine in it.
Re: Ishibu 650BX: A 650 HP version of the stock 200BX. No, it doesn't. I just wanted to name it something that would make general sense.
Re: Ishibu 650BX: A 650 HP version of the stock 200BX. nice idea indeed. and yeah 200 isnt for the displacement. its just the naming. 180SX was for the japanese and australian market 200SX for the european 240SX for the americans just so you know xD
Re: Ishibu 650BX: A 650 HP version of the stock 200BX. The driving lines you took on Bathurst, are you Aussie?
Re: Ishibu 650BX: A 650 HP version of the stock 200BX. No reason a non aussie cant take a good line on bathurst.
Re: Ishibu 650BX: A 650 HP version of the stock 200BX. No, I'm American, although the racing videos I saw that taught me where I should try to drive on the track may very well have been from an Aussie racing series.
Re: Ishibu 650BX: A 650 HP version of the stock 200BX. I decided to make this car even better . I didn't expect to like it, but I do.
Re: Ishibu 650BX: A 650 HP version of the stock 200BX. Watching V8SC all these years is where I learnt to take all the lines & where to brake. I always see foreigners crash on this track because they have never seen a race before. Props to you for knowing the track mate.
Re: Ishibu 650BX: A 650 HP version of the stock 200BX. The naming scheme for Nissan/Datsun follows the displacement for their front engine rwd sport coupes. S13 chassis 180SX = inline 4 1800cc-CA18DET 200SX = inline 4 2000cc-SR20DE/SR20DET 240SX = inline 4 2400cc-KA24DE/KA24E lets go back to the begining S30 chassis 240Z = inline 6 2400cc-L24 260Z = inline 6 2600cc-L26 280Z = inline 6 2800cc-L28 S130 chassis 280ZX = inline 6 2800cc-L28E/L28ET Z31 chassis 200Z/200ZG/200ZS = v6 2000cc-VG20ET 200ZR = inline 6 2000cc-RB20DET 300ZX = v6 3000cc-VG30E/VG30ET 300ZR = v6 3000cc-VG30DE Z32 chassis 300ZX = v6 3000cc-VG30DE/VG30DETT Z33 chassis 350Z = v6 3500cc-VQ35DE Z34 chassis 370Z = v6 3700cc-VQ37VHR
Re: Ishibu 650BX: A 650 HP version of the stock 200BX. Yes as correct as that may be, the 180SX moniker was for the JDM market and most actually had the 2litre SR20 engine, and in the UK, the 200SX ONLY came with a 1.8 CA18 engine.
Re: Ishibu 650BX: A 650 HP version of the stock 200BX. How do you even change these settings from 200 HP to 3000=?
Re: Ishibu 650BX: A 650 HP version of the stock 200BX. adjust the torque values in the engine jbeam, there is a tutorial on the wiki, dont bother posting insane torque engine mods on the forums because no body wants them
Finally got a new computer that is both better performing, and cooler performing than my old one. I've added the Sunburst's ESC, and D-Troxx's overfender's to both make it look a bit more the part, and maybe give it a bit more downforce in the front. I'm still debating the looks, but I'll have a better idea once those skins get released. Still have quick a bit of modelling requests if anyone wants to take a shot at it.
