Does the game itself have a name yet?

From the scenery in the trailers to me it looks like a Farcry style location.

This game looks so good, can't wait.

ah, that makes a lot more sense!

It needs a name that hints at the destruction and racing at the same time. Something like (these are all really really stupid) Mass Carnage, Rapid Havoc, Speedy Crashy Game, Expedition of Destruction, Swift Devastation, Carnage, Uncle Berts Backyard, Redneck Joyride, Smash, Crash, Boom, Zoom, Bam, Ravaging Velocity, Crumple Zone, Test Drive Eve of Flatout Racing?

they aren't changing it. The physics engine is called BeamNG, the game is as of yet unnamed.

BeamNG is the name of the engine thing, it's not the actual game.

No. An original name is better then just copy the name Flatout and then just add a number, so I dont think it will be named Flatout 2.

I think it should be Road Rash or Totaled Transport. Please tell me if you like the ideas.

You dont get road rash in a car, would make more sense for a road biking game (i just looked this up, and its already the title of a motorcycle racing game published by EA). Totaled transport sounds a game about crashing buses or something.

I really think the game should be titled with a bad pun. The caliber of pun that leads to jokes such as this "In a car accident, the Mercedes bends.". I'd quite want to call it Civic Duty or Dodgeball if I could reference an existing product and if they made any sense as a title. but I think some people auto come up with better ones than me. The reason being is that the era of the game seems to be mid 90's, and you had alot of bad puns in the 90's for games. Carmaggeddon being a prime example.

Incidentally I found another reason to call it Gerald.

Hey, im new here. I love <3 this thing you got going on here. A friend showed me some youtube videos. I desire to race for sport maybe a little competition at Sears Point/Infineon Raceway/Sonoma Raceway (it has its name changed every so often). If you guys programmed that track in and somehow came up with some very sportsmanlike AI drivers, you could name it "The Ultimate Race: Wine Country." Also, I'll shoot a few ideas at you.
    1. I really wish there were rules in games, There are different flags all the time besides just checqured. When a driver bumps another driver or cuts grass, he gets penalized somehow.
    2. If day/night times could be programmed that would be very cool.
    3. Rain.
    4. I would hate to see it sold to Dirt 5 or whatever. If it gets sold, some company will take the idea and just use it halfway to its capabilites. There is alot of money that could be made here with some work. The effort and genius already used to make what you have so far should be rewarded. There are alot of racetracks in the world. And alot of drivers who need simulators that work very well. Nascar would deal alot more with aerodynamics but the tracks would be eaiser to perfectly simulate. Nascar does drive Sonoma Raceway by the way;).
