About halfway through the install it flatlined on me (32% installed i think it was on last i saw it?) the HDD light stopped, black screen, no sounds from secondary HDDs and keys such as numlock/capslock were unresponsive (jsut incase it was video card error and it had made it into the windows start area). I gave it 40 mins or so with no change from this state, got the error upon force restart of 0xC1900101 - 0x30018. "installation failed the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during SYSPREP operation"
Yeah, this was the most painful os install that i have ever done. But i have only ever installed many android roms, a few linux distros, xp and w7. So ymmv I think i will use edge as my browser for doing small things and keep firefox on the tablet for when i need to do some more heavy web browsing.
The install process was very easy for me. The only thing I had to do was wait. I had no errors what so ever and everything was going lik it was intended to.
I've been only using Win10 for about ten minutes, keeping all of the settings I've had, and damn, it's nice.
Its nice to see that the windows store is down But at least they have got most of the cortana stuff back online since a lot of the functionality was spitting out apologies to me earlier.
because it has i have 5 siblings - - - Updated - - - tried out the xbox one streaming feature, and for the xbone being on the other side of the house over G 2.4ghz wifi it actually worked pretty decently, obviously not the best experience, but not good for that setup IMO
I can get into it after a fresh "upgrade" from windows 7 home premium. After about 10 mins a weird sound plays and then i get a black screen and caps lock/numlock become unresponsive. Upon restart i get the loady wheel and then a black screen and once again unresponsiveness, I'm in safe mode (with networking) at the moment but i have no idea what is causing this issue, anyone got any idea?
Yaaaay, running on windows 10. Slightly scary boot up as it went black screen for 10 mins on first startup (it doesn't do that anymore) Loving it so far!
Somehow during the installation my date and time settings changed. When I try to change the date back to normal this button is greyed out. Now I'm stuck in tomorrow. Anyone know how to fix this?
scroll all the way down, and click additional date time & regional settings click set the date and time, click the internet time tab, click change settings, then click update now also make sure your timezone and so on is set correctly
did you actually reserve your copy or is that what you're waiting on? Because you missed the deadline for that.
What exactly do you mean by that? I didnt think the previus versions of windows had midi support beyond what applications added to it.
Got mine installed. The only problem I'm having is my resolution is 1280 x 1024. It was 1920 x 1080, so it looks bad on the monitor. Update: I installed GeForce Experience, restarted the computer and placed a new wallpaper in, now it's 1920 x 1080.
