Huzzah! I found the reason to the BSOD, it's the Intel 4000 graphics update. Had to launch safe mode, go into devices, then open display settings thingy tab and disable the Intel driver (leaving my graphics card drivers active) and now it works!!!
I dunno about you guys, but I haven't had any issues with 10 really. Apart from SAMP not working, but then it didn't play nice with 8.1 either. Also my second GPU wouldn't turn off at idle, but turning Crossfire off/on fixed that.
You know what's the best thing about Windows 10 IMO? GTA V now loads all the textures and models properly again. Now I can actually play the game again, since before I upgraded to Windows 10 the textures took 10 seconds to even show up, meaningt that I had to guess were buldings and obstacles, or for that matter, the road was.
Yes, the new Intel graphics drivers seem to totally screw up. I have some little display problems and I already had a forced reboot because of that. Even when I tried to disable the new ones. On the other hand, the new AMD drivers for the dedicated GPU work mint with DX12 and there seems to be even a performance amelioration. Really, Intel ?
Just installed Windows 10 and: Loads things very very slow. After restarting a few times, works well, but still boots up slow. Store and all my apps doesn't work. This is what I get. That's all :/ I hope this will get fixed.
all i have is an intel gpu and i haven't had any problems, working perfectly (in fact the drivers windows 10 chose even recognize directx12, the gpu doesn't support it, but the drivers do recognize it as being installed)
Yeah, i should think it works fine if you actually run off integrated, i don't, the drivers were BSODing my computer for some reason probably to do with integrated being disabled in the BIOS and my AMD drivers being overwritten/bypassed by the Intel ones.
I am running an Intel Atom. Everything is quick and smooth. The GPU only supports dx11 but dx12 is installed on the device because dx11 cards can run dx12 programs, they just cant use the dx12 features.
Why would they release Windows 10 in waves?! and why would they send waves 2 DAYS OVERDUE the release date set for Australia -.-
The servers were not able to handle it as it was. Cortana barely worked on day 1 and i was unable to download apps from the Microsoft store due to server issues for 2 days. Although it would have been fun to see Microsoft essentially ddos themselves
I would've died laughing if that actually happened. Speaking about Cortana, I'm sort of excited for it to come out on Android, since I can't use it on my PC because I don't have a mic, which is sort of essantial when using a voice controlled ...umm... robot (?).
You can still type to Cortana. Although Cortana seems to be completely useless so far. Just puts anything you said/typed into a bing search. Anyone know why? I'm pretty sure this will change with updates or whatever though.
Windows 10 installed. My minds needs to adjust, it seems weird looking at everything being different...
I had gotten Windows 10 two days ago and I have to say it is honestly in my opinion worse than Vista, it is too un-organized for my liking I switched back to 8.1 I am soon going back to 7 when I can afford a Legit copy of the Disk.
I'm using the latest 64 bit build of Chrome Canary and it running smooth with no problems. - - - Updated - - - It was very slow for me for about an hour, after a few restarts it runs silk smooth.
to people who still get fails when updating to windows 10: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...0/d695e827-9774-4e10-8972-df8d51a7bb51?auth=1 official solution from microsoft
It seems Windows 10 is eating a lot more RAM than Windows 8.1 did on my laptop, right now I have 4 tabs open in Chrome, and Spotify open. That's it. And I'm using 80% memory easily. In Win8.1 I would've been floating around 60%. Hmm, although this doesn't answer the question that Twitter and Facebook won't open. Ugh.
