Cant use keyboard until i click refresh controllers

its getting really annoying, ive got my ps3 controller hooked up through scp drivers but whenever i try to use the keyboard it doesnt work, i have to go into controllers and click refresh controllers, and then it says controller 4 is disconnected, and then my keyboard works for a bit then it goes back to not working, please help, its really annoying!

its a lot less frequent with the new update but it still happens

If you can still see the "Refresh" button, then you are not using the latest version. Please close and restart Steam to force the update, and verify the Steam files integrity (Steam clients seems to fail to update properly pretty often).

yep it updated, i fix it by dragging my mouse down the sidebar, it seems to fix it
