Can someone point me in the right direction as to how to do this?

I cannot find my .mis file, and I cannot find anything in the documents folder TO open.

I always need to recreate my files from scratch.

Please don't ignore me again or I will be forced to open up another thread. xD

check documents/beamng.drive/levels/YOURLEVELNAME. the .mis should be there if saved. You can move the .mis to your level folder in beamng.drive/mods/levels/YOURLEVELNAME if needed.

No it isn't there even if I save as.

Screw it, I just saved over the grid, small, pure map.

    That actually works.

Really wish these people would make a cohesive saving procedure. I regret buying this, it isn't even finished!!

What do you mean you saved over it? I have the same issue. The .ter file is in my documents but not the .mis and when i load the .ter, it says stuff is missing.

Edit: I got the .mis file but it now says the file is not where the location is. D/yadyayadyayda/BeamNG.drive/levels/East_coast_usa/EastcoastUSAPolice.mis is could not be found, when thats where I loaded THAT file from..

when I am starting to create a map I am rename everything from grid map to mymapnname.mis, mymapname.ter etc. after that I rename everythiinng in notepad called bla/bla/gridmap to bla/bla/mymapname and then I start the map called now not gridmap , it is called now mymapname but it is the normal gridmap, then I just delte everything from the map with the editor and placing my trees, objects etc. then I go to file / save and It saves in Documents/beamng/levels a folder called mymapname (If you dont have a folder called levels create one),then just copy that folder and replace it with that in beamng/content/levels. That you have to do every time you click on save ...
