Keyboard controls aren't working

I recently bought the game and when I try to accelerate or steer nothing happens. If I press Q I can use Z and X to only accelerate and decelerate but that's it.

I think the problem is that the game thinks i'm using an xbox 360 controller but i don't have the drivers installed anymore.

How do I fix this problem?

 

try restarting the game and try force updating the game by going into your directory and type update in the search box and try updating it. if none of those work then i dont know what to do ahah try plugging another keyboard in?

 

I know this might sound dumb, but are you using the WASD keys instead of the arrow keys? If not, try another keyboard.
